Insta360 Flow 2 Pro AI Tracker

This thing is pretty awesome. No setup required and absolutely has no issues tracking faces. Even walking around a corner and back into frame, picks you right back up. There are no batteries but it will drain the life of the gimbal slightly, not very noticeable at all. It’s essentially just a better version of the built in 360 app function. Cost is extremely affordable if you want better tracking recognition functionality. Absolutely worth the upgrade, and there is a spot right in the gimbals custom case for placement and ease of access. The functionality of it is so easy to use. It has a few buttons on top for brightness control and to turn the unit on and off. The light is pretty bright to be honest. Like, really bright if you have it on the highest setting. It’s completely adjustable for all lighting situations. Color tones and brightnesses.

Works great! Wanted to get AI tracking to use with the Blackmagic camera app and this did the trick. Did have to practice the hand gestures to unsure I held my hand upright (90 deg angle from back of hand to top of wrist) so it properly understood when to start and stop tracking.

The tracker does an amazing job with subject tracking, and works great with both a smartphone (iPhone 16 Pro) and an action camera (DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro).

This Ai tracker works but awful if ever you stay still in your office or at a church. It wants to move or worse jitters around trying to adjust. Don’t try to talk to your camera as if you wanted it to stay still it won’t. Oh when I took it to my church every time someone raised their hands to worship God it turns on and off. The worse respond to this AI for a church. But hear me out, it works if you don’t mind the jitters. It will track you even for an iPhone. Without it the Ai tracking would get lost. Again I want to love it but not too good for 3rd party apps unless they can find a way to smooth the gimbal tracking so it doesn’t jitter like it does. The insta360 flow 2 pro app settings can help to smooth the jitter but not much either. No research can help with this I tried.
