PLANTERS Original Cheez Balls Cheese Flavored Snacks, 2.75 oz Canister (Pack of 12)

There appears to be GOOD, BAD & UGLY batch of Planters Cheez Balls that Amazon has in stock. The BAD & UGLY are smaller in size, not very cheesy, not as puffy, and have holes all over the cheez balls. It has the following printed date codes on the bottom of the cannisters:P: 06 MAR 2019 02:24E: 05 MAR 2020 XPZ4I ordered a couple of 12 packs and both packs have the same date code and the contents, taste, and texture are nothing like the original Cheez Balls!!!A friend also ordered the same 12 pack here at Amazon and he received GOOD ones with the following prints:P: 12/DEC/2018 11:07E: 12/DEC/2019 GPP2The content, texture, and taste were so much fresher! This particular batch tasted just like the original Cheez Balls.Amazon having great customer service will replace both of my orders. I'm hoping to receive the fresh ones.I'll update this review when the replacements arrive.Update - the following batch of Planters Cheez Balls are also GOOD. They replaced both of my orders and I received the original tasting/texture Planters Cheez Balls I came to love as a kid!!! Unfortunately, I received a bad batch once again w/ date code "XPZ4". Contacted Amazon customer service and they'll send me a replacement. Crossing my fingers that I receive the good batch "GPP2" (or if there exists other good batch date code).UPDATE 7/12/2019My replacement order just came in. Unfortunately, they're also "XPZ4". Contacting Amazon for another replacement or a refund. :(

I see a lot of bad reviews of this product. I will say I bought a few cans here an there during the month of December and they tasted like cheese puffs. The date on those cans were for oct and nov but then I ordered a 12 pack here an the date was for December and they tasted way better. I see from reviews that they got sidelined when they first came out probably for that reason something wasn’t right and in those first cans I got that tasted like puffs weren’t shaped like balls lol they had a pellet or oblong shape more than a ball shape.. the people that actually wrote bad reviews from August til december should rebuy and try it again because they definitely fixed the problem. I don’t know what happened but I’m sure that’s why the got sidelined and the first buyers had to wait awhile to get them because something happened at the plant where they made them and each batch gets better. I ordered a pack February 1st and got them 3 days later bc of a Sunday lol and I got 3 cans left. The reason I still have 3 cans because I try my hardest not to eat a Cana day bc it’s bad to do that and I want them to last lol so I’m about to order another pack this week to make sure I stay stocked on these awesome bad boys that bring a blast from my 90s past to me lol we were watching boy meets world a while back in some of the episodes in the later seasons you can see the cheese ball cans in the college dorm and the apartment they live in lol then I was like man I wish they still made these and weeks later I found them in a store and now I order them bc I can’t find them any more lol

I was honestly prepaired for complete dissapointment for a few reasons, but mostly:1. initial 1st-batch preorder reviews posted so terribly in july & no solid explanation why, from cust support or Planters. Was insinuated that bad 1st run some how & pulled back from warehouses (but some had shipped already...hence bad july/aug reviews). Reguardless, I was assured i wouldn't loose my place & Planters was making 2nd+ batch. However backordered til Christmas! No big deal really, because...well they're Cheez balls.*Bottom line:Solid 4+ out of 5stars.Totally worth $2 can.*Picky complaints:1. just SLIiiGHTLY overcheesed ORANGE!(& yes I'm yelling "ORANGE!")2. other than above, they're 90% match for original flavor, testure & size consistency.Cans are pretty lagitt also.*note: mfg date on all 12 of my cans, says produced about 1-week ago (1yr shelf life).So, yay-Amazon that these snacks were made, packed, flown around the country & on now my table already!NomNomNom

We love these cheese balls taste great always fresh in these containers, ez to take on rides if kids want a snack or to picnics
