great product, works really well.
great product, works really well. I used for a service class and passed on the link where to buy it to my service class so it can be used to find damage to an magnetic encoder strip we use on our products.

Handy to see what items are magnatized
It was interesting seeing different magnetic items with this. It's not very effective with weak magnets though, as would be expected. This is just for those who are as curious as I am and just like to see how things work! :)

works at a basic level
This works at a basic level, and what I mean by that is, it will show magnetic fields, but not very clearly. If you have trouble reading them, or looking for more defined readings in general, I would look at another viewer.

Cool! I wish this was bigger size sheet.
I only wish it was a larger cut. Very cool. Buying this piece caused me to buy a larger size. Shop around as once you play with this stuff you will want a bigger sheet for showing off the flux lines!!! I love it and need it all over my walls, floor, and ceilings to show off my magnetic personality hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah! Thanks for laughing.

Not what I was expecting, but not bad..
Kinda small, and perhaps a bit weak.? It was 4 dollars, and it works to a degree so I am not comfortable with complaining about it, especially considering my active lifestyle and lack of knowledge on the scientific aspects of the product. Common 3/5 ⭐

Good for price.
Does work, barely as EMF shown in black,. not light as others I have. But for less than $5 is ok.

Barely visible change.
All you see is an indistinct, low contrast slight darkening near the magnets poles. Barely noticeable. A real disappointment.

Not as useful or as expected
I am getting ready to experiment with building my own BLDC motor so I thought a magnetic field viewer would be a great idea. My suggestion is - don't cheap out. The idea that this is the size of a credit card is neat, but given the percentage of the viewer material in comparison to the whole, makes this nearly useless. This is my first magnetic viewer so I wouldn't know exactly what to expect but after fussing with this part that arrived, it seems I wasted more time trying to figure out what I've done wrong as apposed to being productive with a better product. As another reviewer mentioned, the card is too thick. It has 2 layers of laminate (one of which would not affect the magnetic field), I assume a printed instruction sheet is just printer paper plus the magnetic material itself. The first image attached shows a small N45 neodymium magnet and its field. All the bright colored particles are NOT the magnetic material. Under a microscope, they seem to be balls of gel. I don't know how to make this type of material but I believe these balls of gel interfere with the "image" you see, These balls don't move or change color. What you see is what you get. There is also a "speck" of lint or something in the middle of the image. As another review mentioned, this speck is under the laminate, so it's a permanent fixture in this viewer. The scratches may or may not have been there upon arrival, but I just got this card today and I don't think I used it that much. The second photo shows how the product was not even laminated "squarely". Everything is misaligned and even though it's not a BIG deal, it is bothersome that someone would pay any kind of money for a product that this company didn't care about the assembly or QC of a product before leaving their doors. Regarding the third photo, I would commend this company by stamping the Made In U.S.A emblem, which makes me happy, but this label nearly kept the laminate from encapsulating the whole thing. I can imagine this will de-laminate itself in a few weeks with regular use. I too own my own business and I will also say that my products would never leave my doors with this level of quality.
