I have used many of these falafel mixes and this is the best tasting one by far, very easy to make, I add a tablespoon of flour for each cup to make it a bit more airy. Good product 👌

Happy to have found this. GREAT flavor for an instant falafel. I found a dehydrated black bean burger on Amazon too and usually mix the two together 50/50. YUM!

Very good ! Lightly seasoned so you can add more if you like. The only thing I noticed was the batter seemed a bit more wet than expected, so I may add a few tablespoons less water than the package calls for next time. But otherwise these fried up perfect and they were delicious- my fiancé and I really enjoyed them and will absolutely be purchasing again!

I liked the fact I could smell the herbs/spice when I opened the bag. I’ve only had falafel at restaurants. I measured out a cup of the mix and a cup of water, made a few phone calls and then the mix was ready. I probably let it sit for an hour in the fridge. I fried these but I’ll try baking some later. They came out perfect: crispy outside and soft inside plus great flavor.

A bit too salty but otherwise ok

I have bought a lot of falafel mixed over the years. This is the best flavor of them all. Hubby ate 6 "burgers" in one sitting, and asked if I was going to make more. I did. We had falafel for lunch and dinner yesterday, and he is taking some to work for lunch tonight. Seriously, this is good stuff. I will be ordering more (probably sooner than I had planned).

Trader Joe's stopped carrying their brand of excellent falafel mix. I bought this because of price and its not containing wheat flour, and after making several batches this mix proves to be even worse than at the first try. The coarse particles are rock-hard. My friend who loves "crunchy" said the grit was too much even for him. It takes a long time to soak and the recommended 1:1 ratio of mix to water makes for a runny dough. The garbanzo flour is too coarse so that a lot of particles fall off in the oil. Worst of all is it doesn't TASTE like falafel because there is barely any perceptible spicy flavor. I have to add cumin, coriander, turmeric, garlic powder, onion powder and chili powder to make it taste like falafel, which is so much extra effort, I will make my own dry falafel mix in future.

This is the best falafel mix I've ever used. It's delicious, easy to prepare, good texture and spice level. We've got vegetarians and other restricted diets in my household so finding something they can all eat that's so tasty is perfect.
