RSI Hydroponic Seed Tray 128 & 242 Plugs

You don’t need to buy special plugs-the numbers indicate how many (empty) plug spaces per tray. You buy a bag of seed starter mix and just fill and smooth the top. You can float it in any kind of watertight container. Great way to start flowers and veggies in late winter to put out in spring. I use one “cool white” and one “daylight” fluorescent strip in a hanging fixture and hang it close to the trays with a little chain on each end so that it can be raised as the plants grow. You can add a little water soluble fertilizer into the water so that you never have to water from above. In fact, you don’t water at all, as it wicks up from below. Pretty soon you will find white roots developing, and then you can pot into little pots which will eventually head outside to be hardened off. Throw a clear shower curtain over or around the light over the gray to keep moisture in. Best way to try out all kinds of plants for your garden or grow in bulk inexpensively. Learned this over 20 years ago in MasterGardener course through the UK agricultural extension office. These trays are reusable and you can cut them to fit different containers.

I bought this product because I thought it comes with everything I need. I got the trays today but NO PLUGs, just the empty trays. Really disappointed. The instruction on the Description of the product: "The design and use is very simple, create a pool of water in which the trays can float, plant the seeds in tray, and watch them grow!!" If I just plant the seeds in tray with nothing in it as they instructed, will the seed grow? The advertisement is deceptive: "TRAYS WITH 242 PLUGS". No place in the description indicates that the trays are empty; or you need to buy the plugs to fill the tray. I hope Amazon has better guidelines for sellers to advertise their products on its website.
