I bought this to use on the plane, but it's more useful at home. The magnet is strong. Since it can be configured in different ways I use it as a phone stand vertical or horizontal without clipping it to the table. I use it as a handle instead of holding onto the edges of phone. It's not compact and is heavy to carry in my handbag. It was a little stiff at first, so I recommend just move it slowly to learn the different positions. Didn't need to clip it to airplane tray since there was a shelf, but it was tricky when I tried to. It was hard to attach to the tray while it was closed. It does attach to table at home but i don't use it that way. I am ordering one for my husband.
