Give it time. It will definitely take off.
Yes, this little plant was dried up and beaten, and had to be resent to me a second time because no matter how it got shipped it took too long in shipping. However, the seller shipped me my second one free of charge making sure I received what I ordered. It shipped a little faster, but still had some broken pieces, but there was one tiny leaf that was still good. Folks; know this about this plant, It is very healthy. It will thrive. Even with just one tiny leaf left. Just trim it down, plant it in your water ‘ it is an aquatic plant so if you plant it in garden soil, you must keep it very moist.’ and watch her go. It’s a beauty .

They were in bad condition when I got them and they died. Took over a week to get them.

Great starter plant!
Got my plant today reasonably packaged and despite the small root ball appears healthy.

Arrived damaged but healthy
When I ordered the pickerel rush it came in 5 days and though it was packaged appropriately its long fragile stems were bent and broken. I trimmed it back to the only unbroken part, one leaf about 6” tall. I planted it and within 10 days to 2 weeks new growth was pushing up. In 5 weeks I have a nice healthy plant establishing itself in my pond and I look forward to seeing blooms next year.

It wasn't very big the root clump was about the size of a golf ball. It is alive, but I had higher expectations.
