Way too costly on Amazon
Almost double price on Amazon this is day light robbery. Product is ok but no way to understand how much left in the container so 1 might ran out midway during the application process & no way to know it... it's a common sense to apply a indicative marker on the side..

I've been greying for 15 years during which time I've used JustForMen 6-8 times whenever my vanity got the better of me. I remember the predictable results I received, wherein the grey was gone, and I accepted the irritation that came with each application as the price of admission. I struggled through and persevered each time, though my skin remained dry, scratchy, and flaky beneath the hair for as long as I wore the beard. Eventually I came to terms with aging and left it natural (and increasingly grey) whenever I grew it out; which in time I just stopped doing altogether. So, three weeks ago, when Instagram started showing me ads from Simpler which proclaimed "NO PPDs", I thought, "Surely that was the problem I was having with JFM right?!"; some kind of chemical irritation, there might yet be hope for me to grow out my beard without immediately adding 10 years to my physical appearance. "NO PPDs!" So, I eagerly ordered Medium Brown and tried a test patch behind my ear as suggested; three days later saw no reason not to go ahead and apply, expecting good results without the discomfort. What I wasn't counting on was an overall reaction to this product when applied in earnest far worse than I'd ever experienced with JFM, a reaction that would leave me painfully bloated, broken out in hives and a rash, burning like mad, and clawing at my face in an agonizing itch. THE PICTURES speak volumes ( l-r ) -Left: 6pm Saturday night, BEFORE -Middle: AFTER application, waiting the prescribed amount of time, then taking a shower, 7pm (Meh. I was disappointed with the coverage- nothing like what I saw in all the videos and testimonials I'd watched.) -Right: Around 1am that night, when I couldn't sleep and could bear the BURNING and ITCHING no longer, I shaved the whole beard off to find my face in this state; this was 7hrs before CVS opened Sunday morning so I could get some antihistamines (of which I had none on hand, and then came to offer no relief). Finally I took myself to local Urgent Care for a steroid shot and a week's worth of Prednisone. . -THIS VAIN ENDEAVOR WAS LOSE/ LOSE, even after Amazon refunded my purchase price, I was left with the other expenses (above), and I heard NOTHING back from Simpler after my attempt at contact (the only avenue I could find to get to them directly through Amazon was the Leave Seller Feedback page.) . Maybe I have sensitive skin, but this seems excessive. This beard colouring attempt was a disaster. BE CAREFUL or BEWARE .

4 stars only because you cannot just buy the hair color. I don't need all of the extra stuff in the box, every time I make a purchase. It is just more plastic garbage and is wasteful. Otherwise I love this beard / hair dye. It's super easy to use, apply, and great natural color that holds well over a couple of weeks. Maybe start selling just the can of color, which could also lower a rather expensive price point for beard / hair color.

I recently tried the Simpler Hair Color for Men Kit (Medium Brown) and I’m very impressed. If you’re looking for an easy, effective way to cover gray in both hair and beard, this product truly delivers. What I Loved • Excellent Gray Coverage: It completely covered my stubborn grays evenly and naturally. No patchiness, no weird tones—just a solid, natural medium brown that blends well. • Gentler Formula: It’s ammonia-free and uses TDS rather than the harsher PPD you see in many dyes. There’s also a thoughtful mix of conditioning agents (aloe, coconut oil, jojoba esters) so my hair felt soft, not dry. • No Mess, No Fuss: The applicator brush/comb makes it easy to apply; no need to mix multiple bottles, no drips everywhere. Builds up nicely, even in the beard, which often is harder to cover cleanly. • Long-Lasting: The color holds up well between washes, and even after a few washes my beard still looked much more even in tone. Fade seems fairly minimal. • Good Value: One can gives enough product for multiple uses. If you don’t have a very dense beard or super long hair, one kit lasts a while. Minor Things to Know • Skin Sensitivity: Even though it’s gentler, you should still do a patch test. My skin held up fine, but everyone’s different. • Application Time: You’ll need about 20 minutes, and it helps to keep everything clean (wiping up any spots) so the result stays neat. ⸻ Final Thoughts Altogether, this is one of the better at-home coloring kits for men I’ve used. It balances strength (actual gray coverage) with gentleness, and the ease of use is a big plus. If you want something that looks natural, doesn’t ruin your beard or hair, and is relatively low-hassle, I’d definitely recommend Simpler Hair Color Medium Brown.

I was using the "popular mens" temp. beard dye product for several years and it always left my skin very itchy and irritated for several days after application, AND the color wore off/faded very fast, so I was reapplying it almost every week and 1/2, and just dealing with the discomfort. Fast forward to me discovering SIMPLER, and after some research, reading many positive reviews, and seeing that they had a 100% vegan formula, and all those irritating chemicals from the other brand that were probably causing me the discomfort weren’t in the product, I decided to give it a try. I’m so happy I did! I’ve had NO skin reactions at all, and I’m using this on my hair and beard. Also it doesn’t have the overwhelming fragrance of the other one, much more subtle, and disappears fast. For me the color lasts about 3 1/2 to 4 weeks before I need to reapply - and 1 bottle lasts a very good amount of time for me so it’s much better for the price! Application is pretty straight forward and easy since you don’t have to mix (they have how to videos to help and FAQ’s), and they do include gloves and pads for cleaning up skin stains, but actually for me, I’ve not had to use them at all. I slap this this stuff on and haven’t had any issues with skin staining at all (but that might just me LOL!). On that note - I also haven’t had any problems with the product staining my counter or sink as long as I wipe up well after I’m done. I also I highly recommend getting the upgraded brush kit If you have a short hair, and your beard isn’t too long - works perfectly for me! Thanks so much SIMPLER!!!

OVER PRICED! The product is great for dying my beard. Henna was a mess and took too long and Just for Men aggregated my facial skin. This product works in about 30 minutes and doesn’t aggravate my skin. In regards to price, Simpler Hair packages the product in a fancy sack, provides a product brush, 2 small packs of stain guard and a packet of rubber gloves. I’ve used the product for 2 years and neither the stain guard or rubber gloves are needed as the product goes on without a mess and stains never happen. All the extras in the box with the dye are Simpler Hair’s way of jacking up the price. Even if you needed them for the first time around you certainly don’t need them after the first purchase. There are much better bristle brushes than the cheap plastic brush provided. I wrote Simpler Hair and suggested they have an option to just buy the dye by itself but of course they didn’t listen as that would reduce profits. This product at $40+ is 3 stars at best, at $30 is 4 stars and in the $20 range would be 5 stars. Also the product doesn’t come close to lasting as long as suggested. If you have a full face beard and want full face product coverage you’ll get about 4 uses and need to redye about once a week. That’s $40+ a month for product. IMHO way over priced. I’m hoping a competitor pops up with a better price.
