Upgrade for Dell Inspiron 41Wh to 54Wh battery
This battery is an excellent replacement for the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 laptop. The original battery was a 41Wh battery, and I had some initial concerns that the battery would not fit. The only issue you may find is if you have a SATA drive in your laptop. If you have a solid state drive, then you can simply remove 4 screws to take out the SATA drive holder and cable. This makes plenty of room for the battery. The kit comes with a small Philips and Torx screwdrivers and a handy little guitar pick to help open the case. The whole process took maybe 20 minutes from turning off the computer to rebooting. Note that the back three screws on this laptop are "capture screws" and do not come out of the bottom plate when they are unscrewed. The only drawback of this particular battery is that it does not come with the cable that goes from the battery to the motherboard. You'll need to carefully remove the battery from your old battery. The connection on the battery pulls away from the cable end and releases the cable. Very easy to remove. So far, the battery seems great.
