Easy to understand, test, and read results, all while getting information. Let's face facts, sex is still a taboo subject for most, and STDs are as well. I test every year, even if I've been with the same women all year. It's not a matter of trust, it's a matter of personal health. I've used this specific product several times, so here's the pros and cons: PROS - Everything you need to test is included (but you need to have access to a clock or timer). - Instructions are very clear, and easy to understand. - Everything is well labeled and easy to open (which are shown in the instructions) - Diagrams and pictures show important steps. - Includes unmarked self-sealing bag for disposal. - Fast results - Support resources available 24/7 (If you need help, or are having difficulty coping with your test results, or just need help with the next steps) CONS - The slide out tray can sometimes slide all the way out RECOMMENDATIONS (DO's and DON'Ts): - DO allow an hour to test. - DO find a private place to test and read your results. - DO take out dental work or dentures at least 45 minutes before testing - DO be mindful of wait time before testing and results - DO NOT eat, drink, smoke, or rinse your mouth for at least 45 minutes before testing - DO NOT test if you don't feel you couldn't handle a positive result, or that you may harm yourself as a result. IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ: It's important that you're mentally prepared to test. If you find yourself saying "I don't know what I'll do if it's positive" or "I don't think I could deal with a positive result" DO NOT TAKE THIS TEST! Visit your local clinic, see your doctor, or have someone you trust be with you when testing. HIV is no longer a death sentence, and the stigma has greatly decreased. It's always a good practice to read the informational booklet on HIV, and have a plan if you test positive. If you ignore all this, and found yourself unprepared for your positive test result, please call their support line, they can help you cope, and even help you with how to notify your sexual partners.

If you needing to take an HIV test and are too embarrassed or are unable to visit the doctor to take an HIV test then this is a great alternative. The package is shipped in a regular Amazon cardboard box so there is no need to worry about someone seeing what you have ordered. The Oraquick HIV Test contains one oral swap and one tube of solution so it's only good for a single use. This comes in a plastic container that has very simple and thorough instructions on how to use the product. The test also comes with a discreet plastic bag that this can be sealed in after use to provide privacy when the test is disposed of. This HIV test is very simple to take. Don't eat or drink anything for 30 minutes before taking the test. Open up the tube with the solution in it and the oral swab. Swab your gums on the top and bottom each once and then place the swab in the tube with the solution. The test is complete after 20 minutes and needs to be checked no later than 40 minutes or else the results won't be accurate. One red line indicates that you don't have HIV and two lines means that you might be HIV positive. The test states that if there is even a faint line that you should check with your doctor to double check the test results. Be advised that Oraquick recommends that you wait three months after an At Risk Event to take this test or else the results won't be as accurate. If you need to take the test before three months it's probably best to check with your doctor first. Overall I found this HIV test to be very simple to take and gave me the same results that I had with my doctor. The one complaint that I had with the test was that it seemed to have a lot of packaging for what is really a simple test. Oraquick could have easily removed the plastic packaging from the test to reduce waste since this is a one time use product.

God damn it! I took the test according to the instruction, and it shows positive!!!!! At that moment my head was blank, my face was numb, I didn't know what to think, I didn't know what to do! I called my friend over to be my emotional support, after he came over he noticed that the C line is fully developed, but the T line is only halfway through, but on the box it says " Even if it is just a faint line you might have HIV." So, that night I didn't get any sleep, all sorts of thoughts came across my mind, how am I going to live? I don't have insurance, just graduated university, just started my life and now this happened. Finally pulled through to the next day morning, I went to the closest HIV testing site with rapid finger prick blood test, and during the test I was having a mental breakdown, 20 mins later the nurse told me " Congrats! You are NEGATIVE!!" I bursted into tears and asked her to repeat the result twice! I collapsed onto the chair thanking God given me a second chance in life. Seriously guys, don't even bother with this test, save yourself the potential EXTREME detrimental stress and get the blood test FOR FREE. I will NEVER buy this test kit again, I aged 10 years in one night and cried my heart out over NOTHING.

I will begin by saying that prior to the pandemic, I had been purchasing Oraquick HIV Home Test Kits on a regular basis and have been extremely pleased with the product's accuracy. I decided that it was time to return to my old routine of taking a test every six months. When I viewed the product on the site, I was surprised to find that there were two Oraquick HIV Home Test Kits kits available for purchase. Although both kits appeared to contain the same pictures, one kit cost approximately five dollars more than the other. So I read the product descriptions to see if I could determine why the difference in cost. Unfortunately, that did not help. Since they were both Oraquick products, I decided to purchase the cheaper kit. I expected to received a box like the one pictured on the site. Instead, the only thing I received is what is shown in the attached pictures. The instructions I received stated that the Developer Solution Vial is to only be placed in the test stand that is provided in the kit. However, there was no stand included in my kit. Since I had previously purchased Oraquick HIV test kits that came in a box, I was comfortable proceeding with the test without the stand. I was just careful to place the vial on a sturdy flat surface that would allow me to slide the flat pad used to collect the test sample in the vial, so it could rest without falling over. If I did not have prior knowledge of how the flat pad needed to be positioned in the vial, I could imagine it falling over once placed in the vial, which would have resulted in the testing solution spilling out of the vial. I should point out that prior to writing this review, I returned to the site to again review how this product is offered on this site. Much to my surprise, Amazon is no longer showing that there are two Oraquick HIV Test Kits available. In addition, the test kit that is now being shown is the cheaper of the two products, but it includes a video that shows how to use the product that comes in a box that contains better instructions and more supplies than what is shown in the picture. I should also point out that the instructions I received describes how to use a blood sample to do the test using a blood sample, instead of using oral fluid. Unfortunately, the instructions do not explain how much of a blood sample is needed. Hopefully, the fact the Amazon is no longer 0ffering two Oraquick HIV Test Kits and the video featuring the product is the one sold in a box at the lower price, means that they are now only selling the kit that comes in a box.
