Alguien me ayuda a saber cómo hacer los chips de verduras? (Camote, betabel, zanahoria). Utilicé la receta del libro que trae y quedan agüadas. Intenté hacerlas de nuevo sin cocción previa y quedan sin sabor.

Lamentablemente solo lo pude intentar usar unas horas porque el ventilador no funcionó jamás, no giraba, no deshidrataba ni hojas. Es una lástima ya que la marca es muy buena pero no sé si por no ser fabricantes directos tengan ese defecto, sugiero comprar directo con Excalibur.

Just plugged in my 6 tray unit and the fan makes what I can only describe as an ebb and flow sound. (also a tiny click noise) Nothing is extremely loud or annoying, but a little concerning that the fan sound would ebb every 30 seconds or so; not consistent. At this price, I would hate for it to go out after a few uses. I returned the first one because of this, but this one does it too! Can anyone help me that has this unit? Is this normal? When I google it, AI tells me this is not normal. Should I return and try another brand? I have no experience with dehydrators so any help is appreciated.

So, right off the bat, I noticed that some of the corners already had paint chipped off. The instructions were vague at best and there was no serial number on the manufacturers label. One of the wire racks had some broken welds and the user interface panel does not appear to fit correctly in the chassis. When I saw that it was made in China (and not the US as the manufacturers website says), the flaws made sense. I debated on keeping it or not based on the flaws in the unit. It does, however, have some redeeming qualities. After cleaning it, I test ran it and then checked the temperature with an IR gun. The temperature was nearly spot on. All of the racks fit as you'd expect. I haven't dehydrated anything in it yet and will update this review afterward. These are my initial impressions of the unit immediately after opening the box. Unless this thing craps out when I use it this week, I'll overlook the cosmetic flaws and keep it. Update to come later.

Happy with this brand. Have had 3 other brands some no namers and really happy with Excalibur brand build and quality. Good size wire racks. Would recommend.
