I bought this battery hoping for a meaningful improvement over the original ROG Ally 2023 battery, but it really falls short. The capacity increase is so small that it is basically just a replacement, not an upgrade. In real use, the difference is barely noticeable, and certainly not enough to justify the effort required to install it. What makes it worse is that you still have to cut along the case just like you would for a true upgrade battery, such as the 80Wh options. Going through that level of work for such a tiny bump in capacity feels pointless. If I am going to open up the device and deal with cutting the shell, I expect a real improvement, not a marginal change. Overall, this battery does what the original does, but not much more. If you are looking for a meaningful upgrade, this is not it. The effort required simply does not match the minimal gain you get in return.

Horrible scam of a product. Wrong size and it also seems to have issues when you turn device on and back off, it loses almost all battery. Do not buy this scam!

It was difficult to install but it did not work very well. Did not last long either. You’re better off getting the OEM part. Especially when buying parts for your laptop.

The battery I received, though potentially functional, did not contain the capacity reported in the listing of 74Wh. This is the base for the ROG Ally X. Instead, it contains a 50Wh battery, slightly above the capacity of an Ally non-X. I can not recommend this product as it does not align with the product description. The tools included were good quality however.

Battery capacity is not correct. While I managed to get mine plugged into my device and get it booted up, this is NOT a 74wh product like the listing or even the packaging describes. Instead, you'll be limited to 50wh which is barely larger than the stock ROG Ally battery. This may be a good replacement if yours goes out, but the cost is hard to justify when bigger alternatives exist around this pricepoint.

False advertising! This is a 50Wh battery, NOT 74. Do not buy unless you want 50Wh! Weirdly, the box even says 74Wh/4780mAh, but the battery itself says 50Wh/3050mAh.
