This amp sounds amazing. Absolutely amazing. Crutchfield told people that you couldn't have a 40A amplifier as that was too much draw on the battery. Their limit was 30A, but others who install radios say this is fine... just don't go over 100A... that's too much draw. So I haven't experienced any issues with the car since installing it but I have this turned up now to 18 out of 40 and it sounds amazing in the car and loud enough to pack a punch. Size is nice and compact and it was easy for me to install with secure connections using a hex wrench. So I'm very happy with this and will finish the mount this week. This one replaced a Sony 15A amplifier which worked fine, but this one is clearly just night and day between the two.

I couldn’t be happier with the Alpine S-A32F S-Series Amplifier. I’ve been upgrading my car audio system piece by piece, and this amp was the perfect addition. At 4x55W (RMS) this Amp provides just a little more umph than the very common 50W competition in this price range. Construction is solid. No distortion at a volume that is too loud for the average listener. The manual states that this Amp is rated for 80W per channel at 2 ohms (RMS). I was quite impressed that the manual included the factory technician's hand written value of the actual performance for my specific unit. (92W) Paired with my new 12" powered subwoofer I find myself looking for excuses to run a few errands. Only criticism is that it did not have any pre-outs.
