Arrived early. You get three italic nibbed pens, and basic European cartridges. There is also a refillable adaptor. All widths of nib write well and clearly - under £12 for some proper pens. Recommended.

Really impressed with the pens,that write beautifully. The only disappointment I had was with the calligraphy book that only really shows you one uppercase style and one upper and lower case gothic style. Maybe it was a mistake on my part due to another item having a 60 page calligraphy book included,that I presumed this one would be the same. Also it could do with coming in some sort of case as others do. I can live without the case to keep items together, but having such a small calligraphy booklet was really disappointing and of no real use. This product is excellent apart from this small fact ,as now you have to buy a book on calligraphy to start using this beginner's set.As it does say a complete calligraphy starter manual on the box.

There's nothing like a wet ink line to get the creative juices flowing but you can pay a lot of money for the pleasure! These "Ziller" pens offer a calligraphy tip which is not such a severe/purist a calligraphy line as say "Manuscript" pens offer. It is not so sharp & thin lined, you would call is a cursive italic in the fountain pen world. Cursive refers to "joined up writing", which means it is more forgiving to a beginner calligrapher because it doesn't feel like a train on a track that can't turn. It allows a less formal, freer & more intuitive approach both in calligraphy & in drawing. The rubber grip around the pen gives a secure but gentle grip. The nibs were well adjusted for ink flow & alignment. Altogether these pens represent great value for money.

I rarely bother with writing reviews but I love these pens so much I decided to share my experience of them. Firstly, the thing I am most impressed with is that there are three nibs, bodies and lids, therefore all pens can be used concurrently. Other sets I have looked at have interchangeable nibs and only one body/lid. Secondly, the pens write very smoothly and the ink flows well. I have had mine a week now and have been practicing every night with no problems. I use the age-old trick of squeezing the cartridge to get the ink flowing when the pen is new and after that it continues to flow well. I am left-handed and just learning the art and for me writing “upside-down” works best. The pens are not scratching at all on the practice calligraphy pads and the ink dries fast so I have not smudged at all, unlike the time I tried a dip nib pen. Finally, these pens are excellent value for money. I have read all the 1/2/3/4 star reviews and am surprised at how different people’s experiences can be of the same product. Having bought a number of different pens, including a quite expensive flex-nib one ( which I am having terrible trouble with) the pens are far and away the best, and my calligraphy improved immediately due to how easy they are to handle, hence feeling the urge to write a review. I will definitely favour Pablo products in futute and may well buy more of these pens so that I can keep different colours on the go.

Bought this because my art club was doing a calligraphy tutorial. I wanted a set with several complete pens, so I wouldn't have to do any fiddly/messy changing over of nibs or ink cartridges every time I wanted a different colour, and I didn't want to spend too much, so this set fit the bill. It's helpful that they come in three different thicknesses, and that you get four ink colours: blue, black, green and red. The pens themselves are cheaply made (when you put the lid on, the rubber grip can twist) but sturdy enough - could probably be a bit more comfortable to hold, but that may be me gripping the barrel too tightly. Most importantly, the nibs are of reasonable quality. You need to look under the tray to find the manual, and a slip of paper with perhaps the most important thing to know: to keep the ink flowing, you need to work more slowly when using the widest nib. Also, it does take a bit of force to break the seal on a new cartridge when installing it, but once in use everything is fine and the pens don't leak. For completeness and to make it a bit better value, it would've been nice if they'd included a lined practice book or a watercolour pad - I bought the latter separately - and it would've been helpful if the pen barrels came with markings so you'd know which nib thickness is which without having to take the lids off, but on the whole this is a decent starter set for anyone who wants to try the hobby without breaking the bank.

These pens are amazing... wow. A pleasure to hold with their slightly cushioned finger grips, the nibs write lovely and smooth, I have water based bottle ink so I am using the cartridge converter and it works a treat! I’ve also tried the blue ink cartridge, which came with the set and the colour and depth of ink was very good. I’m yet to try the other colours. I now need to embark on writing my wedding invites! Would recommend this set for both beginners and more advance writers.

I am using these pens to write notes for my business. The largest nib does not draw smoothly with the full width, so it is almost the same width as the middle size. The middle one is a bit temperamental with ink flow, but they work well for the price. Having 3 complete pens is great. No faffing.

There is a bewildering choice of calligraphy sets, but I'm so glad I chose this one admittedly, partly because my dog is called Pablo)! The order was delivered promptly, and is just what I need. The pens are sturdy, with a very comfortable rubbery grip, helpful for my arthritis fingers. The nibs are write smoothly and the ink flows well. I like the fact that I can have an individual pen for each size of nib, saving the hassle of changing the nib as with other sets. Excellent value for money. As a bonus, the pens are manufactured in the UK, and I am so happy to support this company. I recommend with no hesitation.

Die Federn kratzen auf dem Papier. Tinte fließt nicht richtig. Schriftbild lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Ich habe den Artikel trotz vieler negativen Kommentare gekauft. Klare Fehlentscheidung. Sogar das Set eines Discounters liefert bessere Qualität.

This writing set is amazing - just what I was after. The pens write very smoothly. The selection is superb with a range of inks and a handy guide booklet. Everything I need to get going and improve my creative writing! Would recommend.

Les plumes fonctionnent très bien et permettent de belles écritures. Attention juste à la taille, parait grand mais ne convient que pour des écritures de tailles normales, la meme taile que lorsqu'on écrit dans un cahier scolaire. Ne convient pas pour des écrits plus grands
