Kewpie Mayonnaise 450g | Rich, Umami-Packed Japanese Mayo

It must be so close to the sushi mayo that I can't tell the difference! The actual mayonnaise itself is thick, viscous as hellmans. But better for the price. I'm so obsessed with this specific mayonnaise, that I'll probably go bankrupt! Even though it really isn't very expensive. Tastes like a flavour bomb.

Like many people I originally found this product on social media. However, I loved it so much I’m now onto my third bottle! I’d suggest the taste is somewhere between a traditional mayonnaise and a salad cream. It’s got quite an addictive flavour profile which tastes good on a variety of foods. I’ve used it in traditional sandwiches but also in the making of sushi and poke bowls. The bottle is made of soft plastic which is fun but a bit of a pain standing it up in the fridge. As you get to the end of the bottle I find myself jamming it in between other bottles to keep it upright. Overall, it’s a great quality product but the price lends itself to being more of a treat than an everyday mass usage product. I’ll definitely buy again.

This is hands down a top tier mayo, if you like me and don’t use it on everything then is affordable, however my partner uses a ludicrous amount of it so he’s not longer allow to have but as this only will last a week.

I rarely write reviews anywhere, including Amazon. But man, this mayo truly deserves one!!! I was rather hesitant for months to try Kewpie after reading some reviews here stating it's no much difference comparing to those old cheap brands, like Heinz etc. Look, I'm not sure what's wrong with those people's taste buds, but it is NOT the same as Heinz or any other cheap supermarket brands, for sure!.. It is SO MUCH BETTER !!! It is full of flavour, it's reach and delicate at the same time. I'm not exactly sure what it is that makes Kewpie taste so much better, could be the quality of their eggs (or egg yolks), but hey, it is night and day, seriously! It is a game changer. You can't compare it to those cheaper brands!!! Yes, it is quite pricey... But hey, I'd rather buy it a bit less often than usual, but at least I’ll always have a quality product on my table which i truly enjoy!!!

I was introduced to Kewpie by a friend who is a Japanese food enthusiast, and I haven't bought regular mayo since. The flavour is slightly tangy, deeply savoury, and just makes mealtimes better. The first time I put it on a simple bacon sandwich, I was blown away by the depth of flavour it added. It is slightly more expensive than standard mayo, but the quality justifies the price entirely. Mix two parts Kewpie Mayonnaise with one part Sriracha sauce (adjust to your spice preference). Add a tiny squeeze of lime juice if you have it. This creates the perfect dipping sauce for sushi, poke bowls, fries, or shrimp tempura.

The best mayonnaise I’ve ever tasted. Try this back to back with the best supermarket mayo from Heinz and the like and you will wish you tried this years ago. I love the super squeezy bottle and it keeps well in the fridge. Smells like mayo and isn’t too vinegary, just creamy and flavourful. Not too salty but that’s relative to me. At £4 a bottle it’s considerably cheaper than buying it from the happens supermarket which sells at £7+

I had specifically ordered Kewpie made in Japan, but received made in Thailand
