Duty/SWAT option
Initially the boots have a feeling like comfortable slippers. As for durability, that I can't comment on, but they seem solidly built. In my 31 years on patrol and 8 years SWAT I've worn Bates, Rocky, Rainer and a few other brands to compare too. As far as comfort, on the initial break in, these are the most comfortable. I wish I would've had these sooner to put through testing to give an honest evaluation on durability. On appearance the tread is aggressive for the foot pursuits through fields and the woods but also feel as they will handle the street just as well. I can't comment on if the lugs of the tread will self clean if they get all gunked up with minor mud. They have a professional, clean look to them, suitable for duty. They feel warm on cool days but haven't had them in the snow or muck to see how they handle that type of climate and check on waterproofing. The shaft of the boot gives good support to the ankle area so far. They are fairly light. Although not a side zipper model, doning and doffing isn't an issue. Size is true in the 10.5. The coyote is a darker brown. The foot bed is solid for walking and running. As for standing and doing traffic on a crash scene or traffic detail, I can't testify too how they are but all of my boots in the past have eventually given that burning feeling in time. Hope this helps.

XPETI Men’s Mid-Ankle Thermator Waterproof Tactical Boot
RE: XPETI Men’s Mid-Ankle Thermator Waterproof Tactical Boot | COLOR OLIVE This is a really excellent boot. The color blends well with my Multicam gear and my Ranger green gear. It isn't ranger green but a muted Olive color, still works, I have had trouble trying to get an exact match to ranger green. The feeling is better than my heavier tactical and snow boots with nice ankle support. I wish it had zippers, I've forgotten what a pain shoe strings can be. I feel this boot will be easier to drive having on than my regular tactical boots. It is very sturdy and well designed and made. I feel I could have gone down a half size, but I'd hate to do a return just to find out that I should've kept the size 43. I have wide feet anyways. Almost perfect.
Just opened the box. Nice tactical boots. Mine are true to size. Very comfortable right out of the box. I cannot abide a zippered boot. I love everything about them... except...the rubber toe cap. Why the weird contour? A full width toe cap would not only work better over the life of the boots, but it would look much cleaner. IMHO Appear well constructed, with a very aggressive tread pattern. (I'd have no trouble tracking someone wearing these boots...lol). Can't speak to the longevity of the rubber compound, or course. The "pull loops" at the heel are wide and look sturdy. If the boots hold up like some of the reviews state, I can live with the toe looking like it's missing a piece. Overall, at this price point, I am very pleased.

AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE, WARM AND DURABLE!
Possibly the best tactical boot that I have purchased, I wore them on the first day I received them! First impressions: amazing comfort and stability and durability! I am a professional armed security officer required to inspect local power and water infrastructures during third shift. I am required to walk the perimeters of most facilities I visit, very challenging at night! Most facilities are located a ways out beyond even commercialized zones and have some pretty rough terrain, a lot of mud and water. At 68, uneven surfaces present a challenge for me and these boots give me a stability that other tactical boots do not. The XPETI Men’s Mid-Ankle Thermator Waterproof Tactical Boot is rugged and durable and truly water proof. I even found that they are chemical proof as well when I accidently doused them with gasoline while filling one of our vehicles! They simply wiped clean! The insole is excellent for my problematic feet and ankles and seriously comfortable. They required no break-in period! I've worn them for almost 2 weeks now every night, in rain, mud and cold (30's & 40's here in Florida) and they have performed excellently. I recommend these XPETI Men’s Mid-Ankle Thermator Waterproof Tactical Boots to anyone that is on their feet walking through tough terrain a lot due to their durability, comfort and stability!

Bought the tall boots and liked them so much I bought the hiking boots. These are nice all around warm weather boots. The waterproof liner works great.

My New Go To Boot! - Update
I am an avid hiker, mostly in Colorado. For years I worn Merrell hiking shoes and boots and Oakley SIs (when they were still making the SIs). Oakley, hands down was the best bang for your buck! I wore them until their soles wore out. Merrell, great boots, but a bit too heavy for my taste. But, the little bit I have worn my new Xpetis, has been great. Light, extremely comfortable. I will update durability factor after my Colorado trip in a couple of months, but I am excited to run them through the gambit! Well, we just got back from doing nearly 55 miles of hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park. These boots were not only comfortable, but extremely well suited for the constantly rocky terrain. Great boots.

2nd run but different style
I am coming from the crest Evo boot to these. The fact that The Evo replacements wont ship till late December I abandoned that purchase. I inserted a pic next to these to give a height comparison. The Evo pics are misleading to look just as tall as these. On that note if they are anything like the Evos they say spray after every time you clean them but I’ve never had water intrusion. They held onto the water like a sponge so I know that’s the worst of my experience with these. These look like a blacked out version of the hiking trekking boots and all the pics show this. If that are also like the Evo the soles are super durable even for this price tag. The tread patterns on hard flooring feel like soccer shoes. I’ve tried them w/o insoles but ended up adding them. After that they are the best feeling boot for this price range. I wore the Evo for winter summer and fall with no real hot feet issues. The box has a paper that says 12 month’s warranty but I’ve never seen anyone on any of these reviews get them to honor past 30 days. *11.1.2021* 1 week of wear they are exactly like the Evos where you gotta break them in. They will feel like Soccer cleats during this break in and then that will go away. I can't wait for snow to show up just to try these out. I don't want the driving with other drivers in the snow part, just the way these feel in snow if they are like the EVOs to the "T" So far they are holding up to 40 days and 40 nights of rain they we keep getting lately so I'm confident they will do just fine. They are like the EVOs they won't externally dry fast w/o help from a heat source or moving air blowing on them. Still no water intrusion for low puddles and the soles evacuate the water away well. Don't take this piece of info and go swimming in them. *12.10.2021* Still holding up, they attract dirt/dust given they are a black cloth shoe material. Still no new issues. Haven't seen enough snow to gauge their traction, they are the exact same sole as the EVOs so in theory they should act identical. *3.10.2022* Welp, we gotta say RIP to these, the cuff is separating from the counter heel like my other pair did. Guess that's going to be my last pair, going to try and find another brand this time around.
