I first rated this hair color stick 5 stars because it seemed to cover gray hair well and was easy to use. After just a couple of uses, the color began smudging onto my clothes and skin, and the stick dried out quickly. It barely provides coverage now and looks uneven. I tried contacting the seller for help but received no response. What started as a convenient touch-up solution has turned into a messy, unreliable product—definitely not worth recommending anymore.

Bought this for my mother-in-law to buy her time between color. It helps with styles (slicked back), only downside is that the color does transfer a bit. So put your shirt on before putting this on your hair.

Product arrived today. Although the instructions were in Chinese, I looked at videos and figured out how to use. It’s easy to use. The first try I got color on skin. I removed color immediately with tissue. The second try I lifted the hairI away from skin and applied in brush strokes. I don’t know how long it will last. I presume it will wash out at next shampooing. Below is the before and after pictures.

This root cover-up does a good job of concealing gray hairs and blends in well with my natural color. However, it leaves a sticky residue that doesn’t fully dry down, and it tends to transfer easily—especially if you touch your hair. It works in a pinch, but I wish it had a cleaner, longer-lasting finish. I would not purchase again.

I'm pleasantly surprised. It is so easy to use. Brush/ comb your hair prior to use, must be dry. I'm completely silver and used this product for a highlighted effect. So, I have beautiful coffee colored streaks, it's beautiful. Totally recommended and will be purchasing again when mine is gone.
