Multi-Head System Dethatcher Attachment, Tool only - DA1400

Work better than I expected. Great product. Already have used it on 2 half acre property’s and did a fantastic job.

Boy, I started off my quest to dethatch my Texas Bermuda lawn with a manual rake-like product. That lasted about two hours before I started regretting my choice. Put a lot of love-n-sweat into it and all I got done was an abysmally small section. No thank you. Frustrated, I sat down to do a little more research & found the EGO Dethatcher Attachment. Being I have their mower, blower, edger & weedwacker combo, the dethatcher seemed like a natural fit. But I balked. Scratched my head some more over the cost and then decided to just go for it. Glad I did. It is a solid product & functioned flawlessly. Got the remainder of my lawn done in about the same time it took me to do that bitty section with the manual product…and there was a lot yet to do! One caveat I’ll leave you with: it does seem power hungry and will deplete your battery relatively quickly. So keep that in mind. For me, though, it’s no big deal as the EGO batteries charge quickly and I’ve got two more at hand from my other EGO tools. All good.

Light weight ,easy to assemble ,very easy to use and does a fantastic job. Quality built like all Ego products.

works great. only gave 4 stars because its pretty heavy. I wouldn't say I struggled with it but I can see this being troublesome for smaller folks. im doing a total overhaul of a neglected lawn. not only was this great for getting up years of thatch build up, but also making low laying weeds like crab grass stand up tall so I can mow them down short or pull them out easier.

I had the attachment up and running in less than 5 minutes. Dethatched 2000 square feet using a 5 Ah battery which had plenty of power left at the end. While I sweep my yard after every mowing, the bermuda builds up a pretty thick mat of thatch. This dethatcher made quick work up pulling the thatch to the surface.

I was stunned with how well this attachment works. Totally legit. Blew through my whole yard on a single charge. 3 height settings and tines(sp?) are good quality with a whole bag of replacements.

It has effectively detached a lots of dead grass on my lawn on first sweep, it is efficient and effective. The item was priced at $290 when I purchased it, which is more expensive than any electrical detacher on the market, I’m talking about the ones that are full size with 4 wheels. As an add-on head this is too much.

I was waiting for that one tool to come out. Works perfectly. Well made.

works great!! Rips out all the thatch with little effort. No power cords to deal with.
