Does not work properly nor consistently. DO NOT BUY! When in silent mode it does almost okay, but still not smooth or consistent. When in buzzer mode, it sporadically triggers to full buzzer and 00 on distance and regardless of moving away from the object, the buzzer stays on and reading stays at 00. You have to switch it over to silent to "reset" it. When it does this, things aren't even within 0.5m, let alone inside of 0.3 (which seems to be the lowest it will read before going to 00). Not worth any money. Would not recommend. If there is a chance this is just a bad unit, I would expect they will send me a new one so I can update this review. We will see... Unfortunately, it is now past my return window, otherwise I would be sending this back. Again, not recommended and DO NOT BUY! Waste of money.

A good upgrade to any vehicle without factory fitted reverse parking distance facilities. Easy enough to fit and connect to reverse light. Colour was a close match to bumper shade so looks like it was always part of the vehicle. The circular saw makes cutting the holes a breeze. I did find, however, that the sensor fit was not very tight - easily remedied using a thin bead of sealer to secure the sensors though. The display/buzzer unit has two settings - as well as off - for its beeping but both are rather loud if the unit is placed in the open at the front of the vehicle. Leaving it secured close to the control box in the boot (trunk) subdues the sound which makes it a useful, rather than annoying, and simplifies the installation. Measurement warning is very accurate. Highly recommended and surprising value for money. A good safety addition.

I installed this in my 1979 Camaro after a close call that caught me off guard. In 10 years of driving, I’ve never hit anything while reversing—but the visibility in this car is tough, and I didn’t see a parked trailer until it was too late. Right after that, I started looking online for an easy-to-install backup camera and came across these sensors instead. They were a great find. The system complements a camera well and adds an extra layer of safety, especially in older vehicles. While not as precise as factory sensors, they’re definitely more helpful than relying on a camera alone. I do wish it came with a printed instruction booklet—videos helped, but they’re hard to follow outside in the sun. I also used tape on the bumper before drilling to help avoid paint chips, but the sensor trim covers small marks anyway. If you're doing a camera install too, it's smart to run the wires for both at the same time.
