BT ELEMENTS 1K DECT SGL

Bought this to replace a "Gigaset Premium C570A Cordless Phone" that was very slim and looked nice, with an attractive colour screen, but had a deeply unintuitive control layout. In contrast, while this BT phone perhaps does not look all that elegant (although I like the industrial design), it is very easy to use, with all the common functions being literally at your fingertips, in buttons that click with a satisfying positivity. In addition, I like the decent heft (although it may be too weighty for some). And leaving the belt clip on the phone makes for an even better grip. Last but by no means least, the sound quality is fine. Not cheap, but worth the money.

We have some thick flint walls and this still works, as clear as a bell, in the back garden with the base in the front room so going through 4 walls. One thing to be careful of is where you place the base unit, it interfered with my Hive when they were close to each other.

I would highly recommend purchasing products from Simple Telecomms Ltd. I purchased the BT Elements 1 km Range IP67 Cordless phone with answering machine and loud speaker facility. The phone has worked really well for my father who is in a nursing home, especially the loud speaker facility. The phone cord was recently accidentally damaged whilst cleaning my father’s room. Steve was excellent at immediately responding to my email and arranged to post a new plug/cable to us by first class post which will enable us to communicate with my father during lockdown. I can’t thank Steve enough for his amazing help which will make a difference to my father and our family. Excellent service!!

This is a great phone. The build quality is very good, nice and sturdy as you would expect for a rugged handset. The buttons give a very positive key press and the sound quality through the normal earpiece or when on loud speaker (which is very easy to switch between) is very clear. The phone also has a nice easy menu, so some of the advanced features are quite easy to set up. I also like the look of the phone, it is a bit "80's mobile" what with the antenna, but it's quite cool. Not submerged in water yet (and probably won't) but I'm sure it will cope if needed. All in all, my home phone has been on its way out for a while now and I'm really happy with its replacement.

We replaced a perfectly functioning older cordless telephone for this one. The volume available is very poor indeed - so much so that it has to be used on the “open” loudspeaker option all the time just to hear the person you are speaking to. This was mentioned on reviews considering before purchase - really should have listened to them.
