Realistic Expectations Folks!
Bortle 9+ skies. Neighborhood: Oak Cliff. Just outside of Downtown Dallas Texas. The worst possible place to view the stars in my opinion. Equipment: Orion XT6i doing visual astronomy. We couldn't see much in all honesty, Because the sky was like looking at the stars through an empty plastic milk jug. After viewing the Orion Nebula for a few minutes, I remembered having my CLS Filter. Screwed it on and it made substantial difference! The Orion Nebula had a lot more contrast and detail. It was visibility much more enjoyable to observe. After that we looked at a few double stars and Pleiades which looked nice. Can't comment on Astrophotography, but for visual viewing, in the described sky, it made our night go from "hohum" to "Oh wow! Look at that!"

Budget friendly alternative
Let face it we are not NASA. Don’t need to spend every dime on the top of the line things unless u want to for a status symbol . This will serve you well under moderate light pollution I live in a bottle 6 skies and it gets rid of almost all of it. If you haven’t tried svbony before give them a chance. For being a “budget” brand they are really cranking out some high quality things over there. Keep it up

It is great for night but also for...
If you took off the ir blocking filter on you dslr you can use this and it should help bring it back for regular photography. Also great for night landscape photography where there are city light. And for astrophotography it is great too but... Make sure you take your pictures without this first so you can get a star profile to add to your nebulous or galaxies because this tends to put halos in the bigger stars. Other then that this is perfect for the polition of light taking over our great night sky's.

okay if you live in the city, otherwise, pass
doesn't really do much, maybe if you live in the inner city. otherwise it just makes things kinda blue. go spend 200$ on a nice dual narrowband, its worth it.

It looks quality but haven’t used yet
Unfortunately I have not been able to use it due to the weather where I live but it seems to be very good quality! Better than the filters that came with the Celtic Bird set, excited to use this filter!

OK I guess
While it is no super Idas LP filter it does the job at 1/4 the price and is worth the money. If you live and observer in an area where you are on the verge of using no LP filter this is one you might like. I find I sometimes need it on very humid summer nights when the light pollution gets worse. A stronger LP filter is just to much but this one isn't and does help at times on those nights. Had one before and dropped . So I bought another for my summer time needs. You can't lose at this price point.
