They work just fine. I use felt on the down side to keep them from sticking. I have bought several sets matching the load to the item. You can pay thousands for exotic sounding solutions, but plain old Sorbothane of the correct durometer is still the best. I plan on buying more for a multi-layer turntable platform.

Didn't see this in the product description, but these are oily and stick like putty might on all sides. I was surprised, especially when they left big, greasy circles on my wood table top. Those did wipe off with water, but would have been nice to know in advance.

I use these under my 60th Abnniversary AT turntable, see pic. Since i was able to listen fairly extensively prior to receiving and placing these, I can say with confidence they reduce the audible booming from theturntabke that can result from big vibration, ie my sub is directly to the left of that stack. While my sub is on a small size Auralex SubDude II (highly recommended if you have a basement or crawlspace), there is some significant vibration at times. The soundstage overall is quieter with these in place. I think they are a reasonably priced addition that does, in this use case, make an audible difference.

The softer grades of Sorbothane. including this one, tend to have a sticky feeling surface. As a result, these do adhere adequately to smooth surfaces. If you need strong adhesion, look for Sobothane with 3M adhesive. Despite the sticky feel, these do not seem to leave a residue though they might stain some materials after prolonged contact. If that is a concern, place a protective material underneath. I used two of these for vibration damping on the back panels of two small fans. Adhesion to a smooth area of the panel (the foil label) was adequate, and it won't matter if it leaves a stain on the surrounding plastic. However, when I tried to install two on the same panel, I found that adhesion to the slightly textured plastic area was not adequate, and they fell off. For use on textured surfaces, look for Sorobothane with 3M adhesive coating on one side.
