Perfect for a parakeet, too!
I have the Fluker's lamp but hate the red glow of a heat bulb because I think animals should have dark at night just like humans should. My house is cold in winter and I have a parakeet. The lamp housing clips on the outside of her cage and warms the corner where she sleeps without that red glare. I love that they make these and that they are flat shaped! Literally perfect. This bulb radiates heat but not so much that my bird overheats. (It'll get up to about 80° at the distance my bird sits but I position the lamp farther away so it stays about 70-75° and she can't reach the actual heating unit.) I just turn the lamp off in the morning when the house heats up and she's happy as can be. Please don't change a single thing about these bulbs! The temperature is right, the shape is soooo practical, and they WORK.

Nice heat bulb for more moderate temperatures
I decreased my bulb strength from a 150W to this one. This bulb is much better for my moderate temperature requirements. I run it on a thermostat, but it doesn't almost instantly heat a space, which is good. My gecko likes to lay as close to this bulb as it can, and this bulb doesn't get as hot as quickly as the higher wattage bulbs.

Perfect Warmth
Used this for about a month. It heats very well and seems durable. It got hot, but never unbearably hot which is nice. I didn't have to worry about toasting my little lizard buddy when I wasn't home. I feel like I'll be able to use this for a long time for a safe heat source for my reptiles. My orchid I kept in the lizard tank likes this setup too. It keeps it a good temp without getting it too hot. This lamp/bulb was able to keep the tank consistently between 10-20 degrees (depending on what I set it at) warmer than my house, which is great since it's freaking cold in here during the winter.

Long lasting
This Che has worked well, gives off steady heat and has lasted a while. Keeps my bearded dragons 120 gallon tank from getting too chilly in the winter.

New to this, so...
The emitter works, and seems well made. But the output is less than expected - from about three inches away, in a cage-style fixture, it is barely warming my palm. But, as noted, I'm new to these. I think I need to try a higher rated lamp to get the amount of heat needed. Not a knock on this lamp, just bought a size that is too small. So, if gentle low heat is needed, this would be good.

Great heat bulb
Lifespan is decent. Heat is adequate for what I needed. There is no light as this is a ceramic heat source. Good value for money

Perfect for my bearded dragon she loves it
I love it's heat range, color was my choice I could've gotten a black one , my bearded dragon loves it she was having trouble with the previous heat bulb due to it emitting a red light which hurts her eyes and I love that it's 15 watts less than my lamp dome it produces the perfect amount of heat

Great for more than just reptiles
Work wonderfully in the outdoor thermostatically controlled cat houses my husband built to put in our garage. They do not admit any light, just heat and they last for years and years. In fact I've used them at least 9 years and they have never burned out. Please try these for your outside cats. to keep them warm during the cold winter months and PLEASE NEUTER OR SPAY.YOUR CATS.
