It's difficult to know how well these are working, without coming off them for a bit to see if there is a difference. I have a reduced microbiome due to permanent prophylactic penicillin following a splenectomy. All I can say is that I felt really rotten before I started taking these, and now feel better, but I'm also taking garlic capsules, high strength probiotics, and have a great prebiotic and probiotic diet, so which of these are most beneficial is hard to ascertain. I read about red yeast rice in a medical paper saying that it was great for microbiome growth, so here I am, with them firmly on the menu. I'd certainly recommend them though, and read that SimplySupplements was one of the best providers of vitamins, supplements, etc., in a science feature some years ago.

I have bought this brand of Red Rice tablet in the past, but last time switched to another product as the price has increased. They didn't seem so effective so wswitch back to these. I would give them 5* for everything but they are just too expensive (and the fact you actually need to take 2-4 capsules to get the level that makes a difference, even though that is different to what the eu recommended dose is!). Reduce the price by 25-30% or double the content and it would get 5* rating. At this price I was torn between 3 and 4 stars - I gave it 4 as the product itself is good.
