When planning to buy appe maker tawa, I researched a lot and also compared the cast iron vs Teflon coated tawa. For me ease of usage and storage outweighted Teflon coated tawa. This prestige appe maker is very convenient to use and food never stick to it. However heat is not distributing evenly, the peripheral appe take little more time to cook as compare to center one. It is sturdy and I am happy wih the purchase and recommend to others as well.

Prestige appe pan is good. You can make tikkis, kababs, cutlets, appe, kofta, handwa, muffins etc with minimal oil or no oil. Flaw is you need to keep rotating the pan left-right while cooking food for even cooking as you need to cook food on low flame, else only the food in the centre pits gets cooked properly. Product size is quite big for normal burners used in Indian houses. There is quite space between pits. They could have made it little compact by optimizing the space. Hawkins Appe pan is much compact and heavier than Prestige though that too has same no of pits as in Prestige.

Product is nice but packaging was not good . There was only product box I received , not wrapped in paper cover. Disappointed 🙁

Good quality and worth the price

This is an excellent product. This is my second purchase. My brother took the old one from me and I rebought the same one.

I bought the larger size (11 holes/25cm) and very happy about the product. It doesn’t seem like cheap Nonstick coating (thicker). The only negative comment is that I wish the pan itself is a little more deeper (taller) to hold the oil thus avoid spilling the oil on the stove top. Overall it’s a good quality pan. I would definitely recommend this pan.
