Philips 9W e27 LED Lamp, Pack of 4 (Ace Saver)

These bulbs are great choice for warm white light. They emit a nice, cozy and bright glow. At 9w, they are definitely brighter than conventional 40w filament bulbs. The form factor is larger - same as a regular bulb (full size incandescent) as compared to the 40w philips warm white E27 bulbs. Worth a note since the larger may be an issue with some lamp fixtures. Brighness does not reduce when power shifts to the home ups since wattage is lower than filament bulbs. Expected life expectancy is nearly 8-9 years! Cannot comment on durability yet but i'd be very pleased if they last even half as long! Being LED bulbs, they are more tolerant to voltage fluctuations and will last!

Colour is yellowish and not similar to other white colours. I have used Philips LEDs and they are of good quality. One can get replacement if it goes bad within warranty period. Costs less than supermarkets.

Value for money

Bought a set of 8 as we needed them for our decorative fans. The lights are bright enough to light up a room. Golden yellow in colour as the package says. Though 1 out of the set of 4 was dead on arrival and just would not work. Had to place a replacement order.

Broke open a old kaput Philips led bulb to salvage components. Good heat sink design and smps circuit has good quality components. No wonder they last longer i. e. mean time between failures is long. Other lower cost led bulbs get heated (more drive current through less number of smd leds?) and I've noticed they fail more often. For peace of mind, just buy Philips.

Light bulb is fine so far. However the light isn’t golden yellow. It’s more like whitish yellow. I assumed golden yellow implied warm white implied 3000k. Unfortunately I went back to the product pics and see that it is written Golden Yellow/6500k. Both labels are extremely misguidingn and hence the low rating. 6500k is Cool White/Day light temp. And hence it cannot be called Golden Yellow. Philips other product for Cool White also lists temperature at 6500k. So what this implies is the light bulb I have purchased is what is known as Neutral White and it generally is around 4000-4500k. If you see my pics you can see the difference in light color and temperature. The second lamp is the one with the purchased bulb.

It's good but those are having one ⭐ only.

QUALITY CAN ONLY BE ESTABLISHED IF THE BULBS LAST A MIN OF 2 - 3 YEARS
