Okay, it's a bit big for a small roast for two. For a little 5 pound ham or roast beast or even a small chicken it's a bit of overkill. BUT for that 12 pound turkey? PERFECT! This thing will hold a 15# bird nicely, maybe 20# if you push it. UPS delivered it an hour ago and my wife sent me out to buy a bird, so you know what we're having on New Years day. I guess, to me, this pan is inspiring. This is a REAL roasting pan, not that crappy aluminum thing you get as an afterthought at the supermarket. I'm already thinking of roasts, vegetables, gravies. If it wasn't 9:30 p.m. I'd probably have the oven on!Build quality is excellent. This is a pan built to last a lifetime. And although I haven't tried it, the anodized nonstick looks and feels really, really good.I'll check back next year to tell you how it performs.Update: Awesome. A bit oversize for a small roast, as I said, but perfect for 12# bird. Cooks faster than I expected because of the rack and heavy metal pan circulating and radiating heat, so I've had to adjust for that. But it seems to save energy since the pan retains heat, the result is a much more even heat. Clean up is a breeze because of the annodized finish. Love it!

I'm on my second year of using this roasting pan and love it. I admit that I'm a big fan of All-Clad and this roasting pan did not disappoint. I've used it with and without the rack, for turkey, lamb and beef roasts and it has stood up to high temps and still cleans up like a breeze. Just recently I cooked a 15 lb. fresh turkey in it, that I splayed (slit the leg/thigh skin and flattened the legs down) and cooked without the rack and the turkey was perfect. I let it sear a bit before adding broth and wine - this pan is heavy enough to get a good sear without scorching. It's got some weight to it but that's what I want when cooking a big bird or roast. The easy clean it up is what really seals it for me. I love this pan.

This is fabulous. It is very heavy, so if you put a large turkey or prime rib in it, you may need some assistance getting in out of the oven. I've used it for both a Prime Rib and, since we smoked our turkey, I used this for a huge pan of dressing. It was so easy to clean I just wanted to sit down and cry tears of joy. (If you've never cleaned a pan after cooking dressing, you can't relate. It's a great pan. All my other cookware is Cuisinart's Classic Chef. However, they don't make a pan like this so I decided on this. I still love my Cuisinart cookware but was very please with this roaster. It would be fabulous for a big pan of lasagna, too!

I finally bought a really good quality open roaster with a rack. Pan works like a dream, and cleans up with ease. However the teflon coated rack is already flaking and it is only 3 months old and has been only hand washed. I am going to have to contact All-Clad and have them send a replacement. Not sure if I just got a defective rack, or if this is a common problem. Pan itself is great, I have All-Clad stainless steel cookware, so I love the brand. One other thing, if you are not strong, this pan is VERY heavy when loaded up with a large turkey, big ham, or even a good sized beef roast, especially if you are reaching over a hot oven door. For anyone that has any hand or arm/shoulder disabilities this is not the pan for you.

We wanted a large and deeper roasting pan with good easy to lift out rack; I was tired to using throwaway aluminum pans when we cooked larger turkeys and roasts and then struggling to get them out of the oven without spilling or dropping. This pan worked beautifully: turkey cooked evenly, lifting rack is study and easy to use and I was able to use drippings to start gravy right in the pan. Seems to be typical All Clad quality at a surprisingly good price.

I cooked a few hams in this thing now. It is a large pan that is unbelievably easy to clean up. I found that the rack is not needed for ham and caused it to dry out faster than when not using the rack. the depth of the pan allows for the collection of juices and drippings. Seriously nice addition to my cookware. My only complaint is that the silver handles get super super hot and stay super super hot for far longer than the rest of the pan. You need to ware mitts and be careful of them for longer than you would think. Quick cleanup tip too. When you are done, if you add water to the pan and let it boil in the stove it loosens up everything to the point it can basically be wiped clean. I really wish the handles were a different material, but other than that I like it.

I am a big fan of All Clad and after ruining a cheap ($50) roasting pan that began to lose it's coating. No coating here. This anodized roasting pan cooks evenly, doesn't burn liquids in the pan and wipes clean with very little effort. Even the roasting rack is solid and well made. I cannot recommend this enough. I use it for all of my roasting/baking needs.

We were looking for a good roasting pan with a rack to prepare upcoming holiday meals. Chose this one based on other reviews. It arrived yesterday and all I can say is "Wow"! I can tell that this will last us the remainder of our lives. The size is great for cooking turkeys, roasts or even warming hams. The rack that comes with it is no flimsy piece of junk either. Especially like the idea that it can be used in a very hot oven if need be. No worries about warping, etc. Easy to prepare for first use too. Just wash in warm soapy water and wipe with a little vegetable oil to season it. We are quite pleased with this purchase and would buy it again.
