Thomas' Calculus, 14e Paperback – Big Book, 20 May 2018

This is the best book I have ever read on calculus. Highly recommended for folks who wants to live in calculus and enjoy the intricate story functions, equations.If you want to just understand calculus not for marks, you can go for it.

This book is the best self-education guide I have ever seen. It delves you deep into the concepts by starting with the purely basic concepts. It is very easy to understand and after every concept there will be some practice exercises from which you can encounter a wide range of problems which get more interested as you go on. It is the best book for calculus beginners. It introduces you the prerequisites needed for calculus and then it begins calculus step by step. I firmly recommend this book.

The contents of the book are amazing. Everything is explained clearly and I feel I can easily tackle any calculus problem. My only gripe is that some excellent problems are replaced in the exercises by some bone headed Indian professors when "adapting" this book for India. I suggest you somehow obtain the original problem sets so that you actually solve good problems set by author and not the dummy problems added by Indian professors.Another thing which didn't affect me but may bug others is that the book is black and white so some figures may not be as clear.

The whole books is divided into 17 Chapters. Paper quality is good and color is white. Print is not bold slightly on dimmer side and letters are not big. Book is readable. Each chapter assumes you have a basic knowledge, that's why its not great for average student point of view. From a teacher and learning point, this book really very good. Functions, limits, derivates and its application, Integrals both definite and indefinite, application of integrals, differencial equations first and second order, partial derivative, vectors are covered. Book overall but not for Indian school needs or JEE needs.

I got a faulty book so i ordered an replacement of the book and it came within 12 hours of replacement order wow......Book is great and is pretty thick print quality is great and their are 17 chapters in total which includes most of the calculusIt's full of graphs for visual understanding....

This is a great reference book for calculus in classes 11 and 12. You will use this book in university-level calculus courses as well. Since this is a cheaper Indian edition, the pictures are black-and-white.

Ideal for FY Engg. All relevant topics have been covered in adequate depth and explained in lucid language.Not recommended for high school students studying for competitive exams.

But the the quality of book itself is no good at all. As you flip through the book, it is very likely that you will reap the pages apart, at least that's what happening to MY copy. Content wise it's a very good for beginners or for those who are self studying. Highly recommended. If you can get older edition, please do so, as it will be cheaper and you might end up having a rigid quality binding book. Choice is yours!PS: Authors has used multi-coloured graphs to better illustrate the topics/graphs, but the book itself is printed black on white, and this problem surely will get you in trouble unless you know your way around. I haven't been even half way through the book and feel like content is great. Everything seems pretty clear to me, except some of the problems I mentioned earlier. Will update here over time.
