Solar Shield Elm Fits Over Sunglasses (Dioptics)

These are great sunglasses; they really block the sunlight from all sides, unlike the flat kind that let bright light around the edges. I love these sunglasses because they fit neatly over my regular glasses (which are not small), but are also quite usable without glasses. When I wear contacts, these shades are just as great, and my daughter also loves them. Yes, they make you look a bit dorky. But being able to see and not incur damage to your eyes is worth it. By the way, medical advice now says bright sunlight can exacerbate macular degeneration so I've tried to always wear them when driving. I have one in each car and I would highly recommend them for driving. The one thing is that they don't fit in our traditional sunglasses holders in either the Toyota or the Chrysler. Therefore, I put a soft neck gator in one of the cup holders, and now the shades live in the holder surrounded by soft cloth. It's better than leaving them loose in the glove compartment or utility shelf, where over time the plastic becomes scratched.

I love the SolarShield brand of sungalsses. These frames are slightly flexible, so don't break easily, they fit over regular glasses with the shading shields on top and sides. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this pair were so big - about 1/2" wider than my glasses on each side. I'll keep this pair anyway as I find it difficult to find SolarShields anywhere, and I really like the style and lens color.

I am very sensitive to bright lights and wear regular glasses. These sunglasses fit comfortably over my prescription glasses and provide maximum sun protection at an affordable price. I have purchased pairs to carry in all our vehicles and have gifted them to family members who admired them.

They were a bit too big for me. But nice glasses overall

These are my go-to sunglasses. They work very well on their own, but where they really shine over regular eyeglasses. I got cataract surgery 5 years ago - and no longer need glasses to drive - but I still wear reading glasses a lot, and it's convenient to not have to worry about what sunglasses I pair up with all that. Your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.

I ordered different solar shield sunglasses from different companies because I wasn’t sure how they would fit. This one definitely fit the worst out of the ones I ordered as it feels kind of flimsy and too big for my head. The other solar shield sunglasses all fit fine and felt sturdier for some reason. I am just using this one in the car for driving because the other ones I am using to play tennis and they fit much more securely. This one is constantly slipping off my face. It does do the job in terms of sun protection, though.

I purchased this item as a "buy again". It is not the same item actually. This item is horrible and flimsy by comparison. The original item had a much sronger frame, it was vented. These will break in no time at all. The original number on the frame was Foster Grant 1121 the number on the recent frame is Foster Grant SR1224. It's too much time and effort to send them back (I bought two). I guess this is how they are responding to tarriffs.

These sunglasses are so good that I think they're "walking away." My cheap sunglasses hang around forever. But these Solar Shields always disappear. Are people taking them? I don't know! I can't do without them, so I keep buying replacements. They're large enough to cover my entire eye area. I can see peripherally. They make me look like a celebrity. Buy them!

In the description the size of the sunglasses was not mentioned and by default Large size was sent which was very big for my husband.

Absolutely magic.Made a huge difference when driving into sun and reduced glare to non painful event. Had early cataracts so was advised to get over sunglasses as reactolite lenses in prescription glasses dont stop IV rays through windscreen. So pleased. Such a good investment. Wish I'd bought them years ago.
