By far the best light holder I have used it is very sturdy and all metal and keep my light at the best height out of the way for cleaning the tank and water changes also keeps the cord out of the way and out of line of sight

This is an extremely well made, sturdy light holder. It was easy to assemble and install. A couple of notes: if you have a narrow tank (mine is a 29 gallon, 12.5" deep), the horizontal bracket may stick out slightly over the front edge. I dealt with this by mounting the riser/horizontal piece backward on the bracket. This means that the screws to the bracket sit inside my tank, and the riser comes from behind the tank, which actually makes it easier to install. My tank has a plastic rim. The top two screws clamped against the upper part of the rim, while the lower two screws brace against the glass. It has three clips that for cord management along the horizontal piece and down the back. I didn't use these, as my cord is at the end of my tank and it's easier to just route it that way. The light coverage for my tank is much better with this light riser installed. Hygger does make a smaller riser, but it won't fit my 30" light. I have a larger tank that I will set up soon, and probably will use this on that tank, and try something different on this one, but it is well worth the money I spent and makes the tank look much nicer.

Its good and bad. Wanted it for my 10g rack but it is not great on a rimmed tank and i dont believe id trust ita design on glass that thin. Switched gears and put it on a much larger and and it seems to work just fine. If you're using aquarium specific lights then get whatever ia made for that specific light. If like me you have leftover hydroponic LEDs then this is about your only option.

Really disappointed with this. It’s so hard to find an attachment for a rimmed tank, so I am giving them credit for that. The product itself is nice and appreciated all the included hardware and tools for set up. It’s difficult to set up to an existing tank, as you need clear back access to screw in the bolts, even on one of my tanks with better back access. I ordered several of these based on provide manufacturers info that one supports up to a 30” light. As pictured it didn’t support a 30” and had a huge lean, even prior to adjusting the height, adding the light, and keeping the light closest to the attachments to prevent further lean, which creates a protruding eye sore of the area where the light could retract to. Adjusted to smaller light and still had the same issue. On another tank I ended up having to use two attachments on the front to prevent the lean and support a 30” light. Adjusting to the front to attach made the look much different and now I’m debating returning all the items. In theory, the adjusting functions of the height and depth of light is cool but laughable when you can’t use it as it makes the product lean.

Perfect but I wish it was cheaper... Ignore all the "sagging" comments. All you have to do is mount it properly to the glass. If it "sags" or is angled down, adjust the mounting screws so that it angles up slightly, offsetting any sag
