Cheap, Good & Customizable . . .
I bought this after doing a lot of research online. It's probably not the best out there, but it may be the best 'bang for your buck' device out there. Buy the c320, a 4 or 8GB Mini SDHC card, and find MioPocket online. I don't think the MioMaps are all that bad really. I live in an area where we don't get high priority on such things. (We just got Google Streetview 6 months ago!) Can't attest to the battery life, as I haven't left in unplugged all that long. Only about 2 hours total, and it still 'showed' ~1/2 power. Only real criticism is it is a little big and bulky. Not smooth and shiny like the new devices out there. But hey, it's a 4.3" screen.

Good choice if there is no better.
The product is my first GPS, so I am a bit biased. However, I have to mention couple things that are good and several that are bad. First of all, it is a nice unit, attaches well in the car, and one should not have much problem running it. However, the one I bought did not do what it was supposed to do. It would not power up. I had to be creative and give it jump start otherwise it would finished as a refurb. I had no time to hassle with postal and stuff so I did the tech job myself. When it finally made to be used in the car, it would make me crazy: it woudl announce the important changes to late. So I would miss the ramp and then had to listen about "route recalculation". Or it would simply ignore important details at the complicated junctions so it would skip the fact I had to reach another lane and make turn... The "route recalculation" is also poorly written algorithm as it would always take me some weird routes, even when it was attempted to be tweaked in the route options. Then also it would miss on the house numbers and I would end up at the wrong side of the street. All in all, I am happy to have some help in the car, but it is unreliable and I can use it mostly to locate current position on the map. When it comes to managing direction (that is what GPS are suppose to do) this unit is a poor choice. I am considering selling this one and buying another brand.

2nd time around
Unfortunately the reason I am buying this product is because my 1st one was stolen out of my vehicle while parked outside of my apartment. I loved it so much that I decided to get the exact model to replace it. For me, it's very easy to understand its navigation (especially after you play with it a few times.) For others who are used to a Garmin, it can be a little confusing. I think it's set up better than a Garmin because in one screen you can see what your next 4 moves will be and be able to plan. I have been living in big cities for the past year and with so much high way/interchanges traffic that is definitely necessary. You can also enter GPS coordinates, which is great for hiking for finding specific places in national parks. It's biggest downfall is that it doesn't tell you which streets to look for in it's commands, so you have to pay attention to the screen. Loved it the first time, love it the second time!

Worst GPS avaiable
Pitiful piece of equiptmen, it was outdated the day I got is and they wanted $50 to upgrade it after i bought it. This was the worst $100 I ever spent. I will never purchase another Mio at any cost.

better than tom tom one/ garmin nuvi 200w
I owned a mio c310x which was stolen at the mission area. I wanted to give it a try to the other well known models, like tom tom one which has also teleatlas, and to the garmin nuvi 200w which has navteq. The 3 have a very similar satelite reception, and would say mio has a slight better one. the route calculation is very close, but the garmin sometimes gives a lot of small rounds. What I love in this unit, is that it really helps me to get oriented, I dont rely totally on any GPS to give me exact directions to drive, in this unit I love, that you can select different views on the way to see the map, and that it zooms in or out according to speed and also you can do it manually. It does not have bluetooth, but I already have a headset. I has lots of POI. it has an ok batery life.

International Use
It was hard to find maps for this GPS to use in my homecountry. I finally got a map (in a SD card), but the GPS has a lot of trouble reading it. I have to restart the program a lot of times in order to get my SD card available every time I want to use the GPS.

good enough value for the money
i've been ok with this product so far. it's pretty accurate and recalculates routes fast enough for me. i particularly like the 3d view. i hear that the maps are old but i'm yet to experience the difference while driving (though i've only had it for a couple of months). i spent less than a hundred bucks for mine so i wasn't expecting too much. it would be nice if the makers included an ac adapter in the kit though.
