Great for cars and fire arms
Great quality. Nice and robust. The number dials work well and the tether is nice for keeping on your car. The foam is thick so it will keep fire arms secure in a vehicle.

Heavy duty. Cable is secure
I use this to safely store a handgun. I'm impressed with the quality and the cable to attach it to whatever you need. I even bought one for a family member to use.

Surprisingly sturdy for the money, great value
I was very impressed with the sturdiness and weight of this box for the money, extreme value. By gettign the largest size I easily fit my pistol with red dot and light plus extra magazine with room to spare. The one downside is I though from the comments it was TSAable with a TSA lock, so I bought two - but there is no place for a TSDA lock - someone in the comments had just jury rigged it. If this just had separate latch for a tsa lock it would be perfect.

You really do get what you're paying for
I was shocked how good this box is. Stiff, heavy steel, good hinge, hefty latch, nothing too cheap. The only drawback is the three-rotor lock which can be picked by feel fairly easily. However, how many amateur parking lot theives are going to stand around fiddling with a locked box when the next car over doesn't have one? Whoever laid this box out obviously had a 1911 with iron sights, because it's a perfect glove fit. All of my compacts fit in it as well, even the double stack M&P 2.0 in .45 ACP. Even a Beretta 92 or 96 FS full frame and two spares will fit in this thing if you arrange 'em right. Eventually I'll get the XXL for my pistols with red dots. For the iron sight units this safe is perfect.

Sturdy, enough space for Wallet, several keys, small USB external drives, 3 number combo works well.
Pros: Sturdy, enough space for Wallet, several keys, small USB external drives, 3 number combo works well. Cons: None.

Solid!
Heavy gauge steel; surprisingly good fit and finish. Cable is thick; no play in the hinge. The combo lock looks OK and is easy to set. The foam looks a bit friable; time will tell.

Great box, but....
This is a sturdy lock box that I used for transporting my 9mm pistol and magazines to and from the range. It was doing great until about the 10th time I used it. On that time when I went to open it it wouldn't open. I mean it partially opened, maybe 3/16" of an inch, but the little mechanism that rotates inside the box wasn't rotating far enough to disengage and allow the box to open. I've read about others having this issue and it kind of had me going for a minute but I realized that maybe if I could get something flat in that small 3/16" opening I might be able to get the piece that causes it to lock to move a 1/8" or so, the box might open. Here's what I did that worked to open it: if you place the box between your knees with the hinge down and the dial and knob to the right, turn the knob to unlock it and shine a flashlight from below you can see the piece that engages to lock it is not completely clearing the slot that it goes into to lock the box. I took a thin plastic ruler and holding it close to my body slid it into the 3/16" opening going out away from my body. Keeping the ruler horizonal I turned the knob slightly (as if I were turning it to lock it, counterclockwise) and it clamped down on my ruler, then, slowly while pushing the ruler in I rotated the knob clockwise as you would to unlock it. It took me 4 or 5 tries but keeping the ruler as high as possible horizontal and slowly sliding it in as I rotated the knob it apparently hit the little piece that rotates in the right spot and pushed it that additional 1/8" needed and the box opened as normal. I'll try to add pictures later to give you a better idea as to what I mean, but it's a nice box, but at the same time I won't lock my pistol in it again. (Or at least i don't think so unless I use a Dremel to remove a little (<1/8") of that piece that engages the slot when the knob is turned that locks it. Also, a thin butter knife may be a better option than where I used the plastic ruler. Just a thought.) In summary, good, sturdy box but it may not open when you most need it. Caveat emptor.)

Combo panel orientation is upside down (inverted) (IMO)
I'm replacing a smaller lock box of this exact style. My orientation when unlocking/opening the box is to place the combo and knob oriented up, away from me. The old box combo panel is then "right side up" based on that box orientation. On this new box, the combination is upside down / inverted (the numbers appear upside down), again, as compared to the old one I'm replacing. This is really annoying and could lead to confusion, especially in a tense situation. Other than that, the box seems to be extremely well built, strong, and definitely has the interior size for my needs. The security cable is very robust and the "stopper" end is built very nice, fits in the boxes socket and feels very secure. (Photos: L: Old box R: New box)
