Came fully assembled out of the box. It will fold away. My husband just had double hernia surgery and I got it for him. It made all the difference in his recovery. He is 6’2 and I was afraid it wouldn’t be sturdy enough but it worked great. He’s still raving about what a great product this is. I had originally wanted this product for myself but since he continues to need the help I ordered another for our second bathroom . I also love that it is light weight and can be moved out of the way for cleaning the toilet and that the rails themselves are easy to keep clean. Another plus is that they can fold away and kept out of sight when company visits. A truly superb product.

Couldn’t get up! Thought we were going to hav to call the fire department for help. Time to see what was available and ordered this one. Got it...put it together (easy) and put it in place...perfectly provided the leverage to assist in getting up. I really like that it is easily folded and easily moved. Grips are comfortable to hold onto. Two things are a bit bothersome...the first is the toilet lid won’t stay open if you have a padded toilet seat. As the padded seat is a must, I first solved the problem using my alway on hand duct tape!! Because duct tape doesn’t add to the decor, I’m going to try some industrial strength Velcro strips! Secondly, at the base oh the unit where the plastic platform joins the two legs, there is a hard plastic with a squared off corner. Painful if your bare foot connects with it. I’m going to wrap it in something to minimize the squared off corner. I wish the designer would change this. It is an issue as you are getting up and shifting to transfer to the walker. The plastic foot piece is for stability, but when attached both front legs, the opening then is narrowed and restrictive. I found in our bathroom set up, the extra stability was not “needed, so I unattached it at one leg. Easy to reattach if needed! Still this rates a 5 star because it gave the user back his independence/dignity and was so easy to install and use.

Overall, this was the right choice for me and I'm glad I purchased... PROS: - Solid construction - Easy installation - can be placed quickly at any toilet CON: With the gray foot stabilizer in the DOWN position, the unit is not deep enough front to back. The catch is the unit is a lot more stable with the gray foot stabilizer down. Because it not deep enough for my toilets, the toilet seat cannot be lifted and remain resting against the tank; instead the toilet seat hits the back bar of the RMS frame and must be balanced if you don't want it to fall. With the gray stabilizer in the UP position, there is some side-to-side movement of each grab bar - IF you push off it to the side or at an angle. If you are lowering yourself and raising yourself directly up and directly down, then even with the gray stabilizer in the "up" position, the grab bars are still very stable. OTHER NOTES: Overall, very good product. To make it perfect for me, I might just cut out another inch deeper well into gray foot stabilizer so that the unit fits my toilets and can retain optimal stability. It would be ideal if there was a depth adjustment on the unit for different depth toilets.

A very sturdy product that is great to use for both home and travel. It was more than I really wanted to pay but the fact that it folded up and was very sturdy enough to take with me when I travel is what sold me on this product. I do add a small bungee cord tied around the top of the closed frame to keep it from "opening" up when I am moving it in and out of the vehicle. The covering on the arms is nice and not hard. I have mixed feelings on the footrest at the bottom. No one is going to sit with their feet pulled back under the toilet, it is just uncomfortable. I suspect it was added because without it the arms move sideways making the whole frame unstable. I discovered that when I tried to put the footrest up (which would not stay up). A friend said it would be a great dribble catcher so as not to mess up the floor. 👍 Overall, this is a good product, and I would get it again if anything happened t the first one. Getting up and down off the toilet has made life much easier.

I have injured my knees to the extent that sitting and rising has become extremely painful. My bathroom is too wide for grab bars to be an effective aid, so I needed a free-standing frame to use my arms to raise myself while my knees are healing. It works great. It is a little narrower than I would like, so I haven’t connected the foot piece to the other side. It is still very sturdy and stable as long as I use equal pressure with both hands. This has been very helpful to me, and since it is freestanding, when my knees are better, it will be simple to remove without leaving any damage to my house. Some have had difficulty seeing how to fold it up since instructions for that are not included. Unhooking the footrest is simple, and then the little buttons that popped through the holes when it was unfolded must be pushed back in when trying to fold it back up. Those with limited dexterity may have to ask for assistance doing that.

Easily installed. A real life saver after hip replacement.

My husband is paralyzed on his right side and uses a walker. I bought this device so he could have more independence as he is able to sit on his own as long as he can hold on to something. This device works when he has to sit on it; the arms are adjustable and the whole thing is steady. However, when he just needs to walk up to it to pee, the foot pad and front legs don’t allow his walker to get close enough to the toilet. I ended up having to fold it up between uses. Defeated the purpose of buying it so he had more independence. Will try the kind that screws onto the toilet seat anchors.

After falling in love with my "Go Anywhere" cleanwaste portable loo, I set it up proudly on the family camping trip. I was then told by my 63yr old mum that it was just a bit too low for her to use comfortably. Rather than replace the loo, I swiftly ordered one of these and was thrilled with how well it works. It's compact and easy to toss in the camp gear. Now everyone can "go anywhere".

It was delivered at a time when it was expected. Being elderly we need this item. It assists when using arms to stand up. It was simple to adjust to fit where we wanted it.

Useful travel companion on road trips where motel rooms might not have available toilet rails.

Was just as shown. Fitted well. I like how it can easily stored when not in use.
