The best accessory for your truck
Assuming you're not just some yuppie who bought a pickup because you think it makes you manly... This is for the people who own trucks and use them. I've had two load handlers in my life, One on a 3/4 ton ram and the other on a 1 ton F-150 super duty both with full size beds. Assuming you own a truck for the right reasons, you've spent your time shoveling mulch out of the bed or God forbid gravel. Even firewood is difficult, a pickup truck gives you the ability to move material from point a to b but what about once you get to your location? This thing is so simple but incredibly effective. Go to their website and watch the videos, it works exactly the way they show. You could look at the pictures on the box and put this item together, but the first time you use it you will be completely amazed. I just picked up 4,000 lb of 411 limestone. They say it can unload a full bed in under 1 minute, I would say it was under 45 seconds. What's nice is you can control the amount of material and then move the vehicle and then lay down more material. I can't say enough good things about this product, it's very heavy, extremely well built, and will last you longer than the truck well. Your purchase will move from truck to truck without it out. The most fun is firewood, it empties an entire bed of stacked firewood in a few seconds. Give this thing a shot, I think you'll be glad that you did.

Pleasant Surprise, 2011 Ram 1500...Works Great,Few Suggestions
Let me start off by saying i purchased the harbor freight version of this first, that does not fit the oddly shaped tailgates on the Ram 1500: returned that and went with this..I am glad it didn't fit this load handler although more money is constructed far superior to the junk I returned, its fully adjustable and fits great as well..Its constructed of steel instead of plastic and has bearings instead of makeshift plastic bushings..So as far as its construction i give it an A+,I did read about spray liners being a problem with heavier loads as well as product making its way off the drag sheet,so what I did was purchased a piece of 3/8 duraply(very smooth and handles elements well)and laid it into the bed(that takes care of the spray liner problem)next before pulling the drag sheet out I lay a blue tarp down,I like to come up and over the bedsides, next I lay the drag sheet down on top of tarp.I now load my product, mulch, firewood soil etc etc...I cover the product with the excess tarp that was laying over the bed sides....Ok time to unload,a dream..open up tarp, install crank handle, crank out product, whatever falls off drag sheet is caught in tarp, not a lot but some, when done cranking the drag sheet you just pull out the tarp removing whatever remaining product or debris....now my truck is a 1500 I am not crowning the bed with gravel or soil but good loads non the less..It works great and you will be glad you got it,not to mention the time you save,as well as your back...Just one more suggestion, when your done using it take it off the truck dont leave it on:what happens is dust and debri gets under the foam on the steel mounts and will scratch your tailgate in short order....Hope this Helps, good luck

Works great!
Not too hard to put on and unloads in a breeze, with one hand! I have unloaded a truck full of wet sawdust and a load of wood. I wish I had bought this years ago!! The only issue we are noticing is the end of this roller sheet is not sewn and it is already frayed after three uses. We contacted the seller and we're told to take a lighter and seal the edges and it would stop fraying

Far better than unloading by hand
So, yes you really do need to read and follow all the guidelines for this to work well including weight guidance, having a low friction surface between truck bed and the drag cloth, not piling the load behind the wheel wells, etc. But if you do this works very well and, quite simply, far better/faster/easier than unloading the truck by hand. I also had some difficulty finding an unloader that fit my newer model F150 with a very thick tailgate - this product worked fine. Very solid product, works as advertised, I expect to use it for years.

Load Handler Install and Use
I was a little leery on ordering for a 2010 Dodge Ram 1500 Shortbed Pickup because it has the bowed out tailgate and I wasn't sure about the thickness measurement. Not to worry. The bracket legs are attached to the bearing main plate by one bolt, each side, through the bracket leg in a long slot to allow for tailgate thickness differences. It also allows the outer bracket to swivel to match the curve of the tailgate so it lies flat on the outside curve. The outer bracket leg is also angled (not 90 deg.) to allow for the slope of the top of the tailgate. Installation was easy following the directions. The only not included items were 2 1''x1" wood blocks to hold the brackets off the tailgate cap during installation. It would be helpful to have a second person available to provide tension on the drag sheet when initially rolling it on the roller and assist holding the assembly during final fitting. Once assembled and fit, one person can pop it off and on again. The only difficult chore is threading the hold down straps through the tailgate- bed joint. Patience rules. In use when going to dump, it is best to attach the bumper tie downs to the hold down straps while the tailgate is up and then lower the tailgate, hook the bottom of the bumper, and snug them up. That way you don't have to crawl under the lowered tailgate. My second use involved just shy of 900lbs of dirt and the cranking with one hand while the other was hanging on to the top rear edge of the tailgate and the going was somewhat stiff, yet very doable. All in all, The unit worked as advertised and is a lot less expensive than a dump bed trailer. Just remember to keep everything clean (a whisk broom comes in handy at the dump site). It is nice to have a Double Mat. They clean up very easily and elevate the drag surface so excess material stays off to the side.

This thing sucks as bad as the harbor freight one. The mat fell apart on the first use.
