PCIe 6 Pin Male to 8 Pin (6+2) Male, PCI Express Power Adapter Cable ONLY for CoolerMaster and Thermaltake Power Supply with PCIe 6 Pin Port for Graphics Video Card 20-inches

Order a cord from Corsair that I thought was 6 pin male to 6+2. It was 8 pin. So I figure I’d give this one a shot even though it was nearly twice the price and not sleeved. What can I say other than it works. Could it be higher quality for the price? Sure but ultimately it was cheaper than a new psu and better than running on the mobo graphics; so, I’m not complaining much.

I've been trying to give my old Lenovo All-in-One m72z thinkcentre a couple more years, so I picked and external GPU dock ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CXY9YQW/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_EcYsFbWZY8S26 ) that plugs into you mini PCI-e . The dock runs on an external power source, and powers up the GPU from a 6pin power output. Since the GPU I'm trying to use come with an 8 pin power input i need it, i needed a 6 pin to 8 pin power cable. After reading some of the negative reviews I decided to order the cable from two different sources to see which one works better. I'll be updating this review after a couple weeks just to see which one works better.

I swapped video cards in my aging Asus Rog G20CB. The video card it had did not have this additional power plug, but the newer one did, and there was a header on the motherboard. This cable went right in and works great.

Okay, so I bought this cable for my new graphics card, after plugging it all in my computer wasn't even turning on. I then decided to come to see the feedback after almost buying a new power supply because I thought that was at fault and to my surprise, someone else had the same experience with their pc not wanting to turn on after having it plugged in. Horrible product, nothing good about it.

Does the job of converting 8 pin to six pin.

it does what it needs to do and seems good quality a little sturdier than flexible and for my case is was more than long for what i needed (exp gdc)

Terrible, the product did not fit in a standard 6 pin socket (would not lock into place with the clip), and seems to have been wired wrong causing my GPU to burn up. Do not recommend this product at all.
