AVS Perfect Fit...2017 Nissan Altima
AVS In-channel 2017 Nissan Altima (detailed how-to for those who need it) Just arrived. Just installed in under 25 minutes. There is NO Issues with this product not fitting or interfering with the window what-so-ever where many have claimed there is a problem. In the instructions where it states to insert the non-tape edge between the window channel and the frame of the door, the pictures show where this goes ((This edge with no tape slides on the outside of the window channel and under the frame panel of the door. I've noticed from watching videos and pictures that this is where it all goes wrong for alot of peeps. ONLY the tape edges go into the window channel.)) moving on... The remaining edges all slip into the actual window channels between all the weather stripping. ALL window areas (deep inside the channels and behind the door frame panel) were thoroughly cleaned with disinfectant wipes because they are dripping with cleaner and you can jam a whole hell of alot of wipe up in there to get ALL crap out. They are tough for the job to do so. Used about 8 wipes. Followed up immediately with a soaking wet Micro fiber rag of 90% alcohol and repeated the process of all windows. Took a Scotch green scrub pad and stuffed up inside all channels and dragged it with pressure the full length of all window channels. The purpose of this is to Lightly scuff the rubberized material so the VHB adhesive will bond more efficiently to it. Then a second pass with a flooding drenched micro fiber cloth of the alcohol deep inside the channels to flush out all scuffing residue. It'll run everywhere. Thats good. Flush out the dust and crap. It evaporates. No big deal. After finishing the last of four windows, it was back to the first one. A razor blade to lift the liner from the tape from both ends of the top, pull off 2 inches to hang down. Remove Completely the single short tape opposite of the end that has no tape. Slid the non-tape side in first...BEHIND the door frame panel and on the outside of the window channel stripping, a slight bend to get the other side with adhesive into the actual window channel and then slid the rest of the top into the window channel. Lightly pushing up to nest it into place, begin pulling the liner out. While doing so, get your fingers up in the channel and push the plastic edge and adhesive against the channel while keeping it lightlypushed up from the bottom to keep in place. Once all adhesive liner is out and you've pressed the guard with your fingers inside the window channel to set it...you are done. Roll up your window all the way and leave them up for the next 24hrs or so. Product Quality: A few scuffs on the product, but that's mass production and doesn't concern me. Very nice material....snug as hell fit...durable and non leaking....exactly what I ordered. Look Fantastic! Thanks AVS!

2014 Nissan Altima - A Year Later
I bought and installed these over a year ago. They have been great! I have read a lot of reviews on Amazon here and people complaining about them coming off or the sticky tape not holding or whatever. I have not experienced this and it has been over a year. But maybe that is precisely why I have not had this problem. After reading a few reviews like that, I decided to do some overkill. When I received the ventshades, I verified that the adhesive tape was indeed from 3M. This means that if they bought the good 3M stuff, then this tape will stick very well if used correctly, possibly permanently. Which is simple really. Clean, clean, clean. I got a dustfree rag and a bottle iso alcohol and went to town on my car's fake chrome molding above the windows of my car's doors. It looked nice, super shiny and spankin new. And I installed the ventshade precisely to the directions. Which really does help. Before you take off the protective plastic on the 3M adhesive tape you wanna hold it up to your car and do mock installs until you know you can put it up there lined up perfect the first time. I did have to bend the ventshade ever so slightly, because it wasn't a 100.00% accurate fit to the chrome on my car. It was quite close though, good enough with a little tweak, you can't tell, and wasn't really a problem. It was maybe 2-4mm off. Anyhow, once I practiced doing mock installs and felt comfortable that I can place this exactly right the first time. I peeled back a very small portion of the protective plastic on the 3M tape from the front and again at the back. These exposed areas of tape will act as little anchors to temporarily hold the shade in place during installation. Like you don't need much exposed, this tape is super sticky and peeling it off the car (if you placed it wrong) could break the ventshade, plus degrade the adhesive. So you peel back just enough of the protective plastic in order to then fold the plastic so that it pokes out above the ventshade far enough for you to securely grab it from the top. Using the exposed areas of tape you place *one* end first onto the car, hopefully exactly correct spot, then slowly place the other end on the car ensuring correctness right before final contact, you can maneuver it a little at this point because only a small amount of tape is actually holding it on at the end. Anyhow, place the other exposed end on the car (this is the part you have to practice with mock installs). Now the ventshade should be in the correct place and holding itself up there. Press on both ends of the ventshade where the exposed tape is touching the car, and press hard, get that tape to bond to the car, rub it, whatever. Once you feel those are secure, you can pull on the protective plastic sticking out the top and remove the rest of it. While you do so, follow it with your finger (in a glove or towel) pressing the ventshade to push the tape onto the car creating a strong bond. I pressed really hard and after I got all the protective plastic out, I went over it a couple times more. Works great!

Easy install. Nice look!
Took 20 minutes to install. No window bump and no tools. Took longer to let the alcohol cleaner dry than to install the ventshade. Remember to read the instructions! One of the tabs go in the track and the other goes outside the track! Good cleaning and these will do well. I think they are a better presentation than the stick on over the trim style. They look more like a factory installed job for much less money and time. Last but not least: MADE IN THE U.S.A.! Something you don't see in car accessories anymore.

Had professionally installed
Received my order yesterday and had them professionally installed today. Took less than 30 minutes for the install and they look nice. Installer said they seem to be good quality. Installed on 2014 Nissan Altima. Looks great but i can't roll the windows down for a couple of days, therefore i can only review on the easy install and appearance at this time. I will post again in a few days. Good price, good quality and very fast shipping. just wanted to update you on my review. it's been a week and 3 days since the install and i'm having trouble rolling my windows up and down. HOwever, i've been leaving the windows cracked so that it molds and this is helping. I can now roll down 2 windows without the visors getting in the way of the track. Hopefully another week or two leaving windows cracked and it will improve. i will update again next week. Update, i put Armor around the window seals and this was a big help. 3 out of 4 windows will now roll up and down without interference. Driver side window will not roll up without pushing in on the visor. Hopefully in a few days it will be working. In the future, I would recomend to buy WeatherTech brand just because of this. overall for the price, i'm pleased.
