Replacement Austin Air Healthmate Filter

Great replacement filter for Austin Air system. Includes 2 pre-filters, one light, one dark, to match your unit. Easy to install.

It fits and works like it should. Looks like the original filter.

Fit perfectly into my Austin Air Health Mate unit. I placed the filter in 1st. Then I linned up BOTH pre-filters, bent them into a circle and nudged them into the tight space around the filter. I began nudging one end a few inches, worked my way around, doubled up the ends and nudged them in. I repeated this as I'd push the filter to the opposite side by a few hairs but just enough to keep nudging a few inches at a time. I was able to get my fingers into the corner spaces to do the most nudging downward till both filters were fully inside the unit and surrounding the new filter. I placed the black filter on top because my unit is black and the tiny air holes tend to show the filter a bit so may as well match. For white or off-white units, place the white prefilter towards the outside of the unit if also using the black prefilter. So, I've been running my unit 24-7 for one week with this new label filter. I'm very satisfied as evidence by not needing to dust up fine dust off my black carved out headboard. I live near the freeway so fine particles and dust is an issue even with screens on my windows. Plus I have two awesome dogs who sleep in my bedroom. I suffer from alergies so good air quality is critical, as it should be for everyone. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this filter and super happy to save a lot of money. Brand name filters are overpriced just because a manufacturer has their own models. I'm so glad there's finally some competition and more people can afford better air quality, for their health and well being.

Filter is a bit heavy. may need help lifting the old filter out and putting in the new one. Serious filter however. And they do last a few years.

The filter seems well built, but it didn't fit perfectly like the genuine filter. ( around the motor and fan assembly ) When comparing to my genuine filter, it is slightly smaller in girth, however it seems to be working okay. Since the Filter Monster replacement is about half price, I gave it 4 stars. Time will tell if it will last 5 years. Overall, I think it's worth it, because the OEM filter is 400 or more.

The filter fit my Austin unit for a better price !

I havn't used this air cleaner for years cause the filters were too expensive. When we found this company we jumped on it cause the price is so so much better. But you don't know till you recieve it if it is really quality. Well this is better than the original filter and so effective. We love having it on. I was just Diagnosed with a lung disease and mold and allergins in a big problem for me. We put a sheet over our door and run this in a large bedroom, and the air is so clean, I have no symptoms at all when sleeping or relaxing. Thanks so much. This filter is not the original filter that comes with Austin systems. It does not have the 780 cubic inches of activated carbon and Zeolite. Therefore, it weighs 5 pounds less. It does not remove smoke odor like the original. Granted, it fits well and is manufactured well, but you are comparing apples to oranges. The original Austin filter costs twice as much, for a good reason. So, it smoke and odors are not an issue, this replacement filter is good. But to remove smoke odors, spend the extra to get the activated carbon. I gave it a one star because the description did not tell me this.

I ordered this filter for my Austin Air PET machine. I hadn't replaced the filter in a while as the price of the filters was absolutely unreasonable. When I first bought the machine the filters were about $200 now they go for $500!! This filter was a great price and works perfectly! Quality of air has improved amd I definitely noticed a difference. Definitely recommended!!

Great filter and pre filters! I’ve had this filter for years. The filter is supposed to be changed every 5 years. I’ve used this daily for years. This is the first filter change and it makes all the difference. The old filter was disgusting. So glad to be able to find the right filter after all these years. This is a workhorse.

We ordered this brand as they were half the price of the original brand name for our model. We followed the recommendations on the sizing but they didn’t fit perfectly. My husband was able to make a slight adjustment to get them to work in our machine. They appear to be working well.

Comes with an additional filter wrap that was not included with original. So far it is working well and has eliminated odors that were starting to form. Happy with product.
