Review: Best weaving instruction book I've found - Ive bought and returned way too many weaving books because they either weren't clear, or were too technical. I KEPT THIS ONE because 1) its absolutely beautiful, 2) instructions are clear without heing too technical, 3) it has projects I actually want to do. Beautiful book! Review: Beautiful, comprehensive modern craft book - The book is filled with beautiful, creative, sophisticated projects in an appealing neutral palate. There is a wide variety of interesting projects to carry, wear and use in the home. Home décor projects include pillows, baskets, towels, trivets, placemats, and a wall hanging (and several more), and fashion projects include earrings, cuff bracelets, a necklace, a woven trim tank top and various tote bags and clutches, to name a few. The projects are accompanied by detailed instructions and lots of step-by-step photos and there is a lengthy 40+ page section at the back of the book full of useful information and guides for everything from choosing and using tools and warping your loom, to weaving with different fibers and making shapes, to finishing your projects.

Love it
I love the thought of making weaving accessible and love the book. But haven't started yet. But need to because doctor has said it will help my health.

Beautiful detailed Illustrations
Love the number of projects in this book with such beautiful illustrations and detailed directions for each one. I like that she has all the projects divided between non-loom, frame-loom and made-loom. This is a great book for all weavers, beginner to experienced. I'm so excited about this new book and can't wait to start a project, my only problem is that I want to do all of them. :)

Expensive materials
Just received this book today and there are many inviting and beautiful projects. The author specifies the exact yarn or other materials used in the project photos but they are expensive or hard to find or being discontinued. For example, the Chunky Basketweave Pillow uses Knit Collage Wonderlust yarn at $44 skein. One skein per pillow. She does say one can use any jumbo novelty yarn. The Open Weave Place Mats use Habu Textiles N-5b Wide Cotton Kasuri Gima - this product is being discontinued so one can find only bright white or purple. The Chunky Woven Storage Box was done in Loopy Mango Mini Merino Wool - one 17 ounce skein is $110 on Amazon. Just be warned that these projects are not inexpensive to complete if we use the same materials as shown in the photos.

5 out of 5
This book comes with many different weaving projects. I was very happy with my purchase. The instructions are very well explained and give you all of the information you need on how to make the weaved product.

silly projects
Some of these projects were just goofy. A flower vase made from wool roving? That makes zero sense. A bracelet made from several purchased metal bangles held together with fuzzy, lumpy wool yarn. Rocks with string woven over them for some reason. Wall hangings that look like they were made by a kid in elementary school. A pair of simple circular earrings that they say take an estimated 4 hours per earring to make. I didn't find a single project beyond the cover photo that interested me, and that one I'd make with far less expensive yarn than was called for.
