Functional and beautiful Cat Tower
The Lotus Cat Tower not only provides the cats with tons of entertainment and places to nap/comfortably spread out - which is a feature that many cat trees do not have - it is also a great looking piece of furniture. The cats were occasionally catching their claws on the carpeted areas so I ordered the Lotus Platform cushion set from the retailer. The cats now love to comfortably jump from level to level and they also have a great vantage point for looking out the window. Immediately upon unpacking the box, I realized that the Cat tower was not like ordinary cat trees. It is well made and very sturdy. The tree was easy to put together and they included a Phillips head screwdriver. It actually took me longer to clean off the tiny styrofoam pieces from the tower. I know I'm being nitpicky, but I wish they had not used sytrofoam sheets to pack the tree, it is a pain cleaning the mess the pieces that break off the sheet. The cats use all the levels including the little cubby hole at the bottom. I have a shorter cat tree next to it and they're constantly jumping from one to the other. The Cat Tower is well worth the cost as it is an elegant piece of furniture that fits into most decors. I do recommend trading out the carpeted levels for the cushion set. It makes the Cat Tower look even more beautiful and gives that cats a much softer and comfortable place to sleep. **Update** The cats enjoy the Lotus Cat tree so much that I've purchased a second one for the office. As both cats love high places, it is not unusual for one to be on the top of one while the other is on top of the 2nd tree.

Great product, Excellent Customer Service
The sleek modern style of this Cat Tower caught my eye immediately and I knew I needed to have it to finish off my living room. Prior to purchase, I had a typical Pet Store purchased cat tower that, while totally satisfying my cats, left little to the overall decor of the living room. I am so glad I bought this piece. Now I've accomplished two goals -keep my living room looking nice and keep my cats happy....The tower arrived unassembled, but was very easy to put together. Unfortunately, one of the support brackets was damaged and so I had to email customer service for a replacement piece (you have to option to also call - I personally like the convenience of email - both sides get to answer when they want..) The response was swift and above my expectations - I literally had a response to my email within a few minutes. The representative offered to replace the entire tower, or just the piece that was broken. Since the broken piece wasn't one of the major pieces, ie., the curved section, I opted to just have the piece replaced. I was assured that I could build the unit without the piece I needed and could in fact let my cats use the tower while waiting for the replacement. I was also advised that the piece would ship out later in the day, but because they use 3 day shipping, it probably wouldn't arrive for two more days. Imagine my shock and utter surprise when the piece showed up the next day. Talk about speedy service. After that, I released that there was one other small support section that was missing a screw channel and once again contacted customer service. Again, I received immediate support and again, the replacement piece was shipped out and delivered super fast, even though again I was advised it might take a few days to reach me. The company totally stands behind their products. Their customer service department is #1 in my opinion - wish all companies could be trained by them! And most importantly, my cats LOVE the tower and I love the way it looks in my living room. Definitely will recommend to everyone - it's more than worth the money!

I love this tree!!! It's a huge hit with our kitties!
I can not praise the Lotus Cat Tower enough! It is absolutely worth the price, and I am so glad I bit the bullet and ordered one. First, the quality is fantastic; it's heavy duty and stable. Second, it practically looks like a piece of artwork in your living space and not some crappy, carpet covered, dust mite collector that you'll be sweeping or vacuuming pieces of it up every other day. Last, and most importantly, the cats absolutely loved it from the moment we finished putting it together. They also enjoy using it to explore the cornice over the picture window to really gain some lateral space. We have some pretty heavy-duty cornices so I wasn't at all hesitant to put the tower near it. They can go on the tower and bird watch or survey their house kingdom from the cornice and easily pop back down to their 6ft cat tower. We purchased this piece along with two of Ultimate Scratching Posts (they are awesome and sturdy as well) at the same time we purchased new furniture to put in strategic locations by the new furniture to deter them from scratching - we threw all caution to the wind and bought a full leather (of all things) living room set hoping with this strategy we could keep them more interested in other things than the new furniture. Well it worked! Just to be on the safe side I bought those clear scratch protectors and used clear round Velcro dots to attach the four corners rather than the upholstery screws that come with them, for the couch corners, but I don't think I needed those, because it's been a month and they haven't had any interest in the new furniture at all (other than laying on it). Not a single act of scratching - but they sure go to town on this tower and their posts, more than they ever did with the carpet crap we use to buy. I'm also amazed the Lotus Cat Tower scratching pads stay so firmly in place with three giant siamese cats digging in, but they do. I also like that I can add or replace those pads in the future as well. The Refined Feline company sells those kits on their site. I directly credit the quality of this piece and the posts, to keeping our furniture scratch-free!

Yes, it's pricey but it is totally worth it. The cats love it! This shipped out quickly, arrived in original packaging with some bumps and bruises from shipping, but thanks to the careful packaging by Refined Feline, there was no damage to the pieces. The instructions for putting it together were super easy to follow and the hardware even comes with a screwdriver, which is the only tool you need. If you've ever put together Ikea furniture, this is basically the same, but much higher quality and no leftover pieces at the end. My husband and I put it together in under 40 minutes and it looks fantastic in the den. I read some reviews on here that say it's wobbly or unsteady when it's assembled, but there are adjustable feet on the bottom that let you level it out. Ours was a little wonky on one side, but a few quick turns of the feet and it's totally steady even when our big 14 pounder jumps around. It took the cats a few hours to get used to the shelves and pass-throughs, but now it is their favourite piece of cat furniture in a house that has two other enormous cat trees, multiple beds and scratching posts and more toys than most pet stores. Our senior girl has no problem getting up to her favourite perch at the very top and she adores laying around in the curved top piece. Our big boy hangs out wherever he is allowed to and they play on there together with no difficulty. Overall, this is an excellent piece of furniture and while I would certainly have preferred a lower price, I can't fault the quality of the materials.

I ordered this from the UK having seen it on a TV show (My Cat from Hell). Being in the UK my cats are outdoor cats but I still wanted something for them to climb indoors. It ended up costing a lot as I had to pay import duties on top of postage and packing but still worth while. I was able to put it together by myself without help and I'm very pleased with it. It is a bit big for my house but it looks smart for cat furniture, it is practical as I have 4 cats and although they get on well sometimes they want their own space. It doesn't ruin my sitting room because it's a stylish shape but as it's so big I am unable to put it near a window which would be ideal (it would block the whole window). It is under my staircase but my cats can see out of the window.

A beautiful cat tree, nicest, in terms of looks. Our Bengal kitten loves it for scratching and perching on the top tier. It was a bit wobbly at first. After tightening some of the connections, it was better, but not ideal. When we put the cat tree into a corner, with the right side (as you face it), resting against the wall, this created perfect stability. Other than that, it's great. You just need a corner to place it in.

Arrived a few days earlier than stated, in perfect condition. Solid construction, well-designed. Assembled in an hour (including coffee break). Looks great, cats love it. The only negative, which I consider of no consequence, is the the screw cover buttons that do not stay on. I simply decided that the cat tower looks fine without them.

Let me start by saying this is an amazing cat tree, even if it is expensive. It's beautiful, sturdy, and mostly very well designed. We've had ours for 6 years now and it's still in great shape. The cats use almost every part of it - they lie on the cushion on the bottom, on the steps, and love the curved top part. The only thing they don't seem to use is the cubbyhole in the bottom, for whatever reason. Perhaps it's where we have the tree, or some peculiarity of our cats. Nevertheless the cubbyhole could be useful for other things, and it would probably fit a small litter box. The wooden panel beneath the cushion comes out, so it's easy to open up the cubbyhole and do things like vacuum it out. The design is good overall. The cushion cover comes off and is washable. The scratching pad on the side screws on and the carpet pieces on the steps and top Velcro on, and you can get replacements, which is good because our cats love to claw the carpet pieces. Our cats didn't use the scratching pad on the side, perhaps because of where we have the tree, or perhaps because our cats are smaller and the scratching pad was quite high up the side. We removed the scratching pad and put it elsewhere in our house, lower down, and they seem to use it there, which is nice because it, like the rest of the tree, is of pretty good quality. One of the few problems is the little wooden plugs that are included to cover up the screws. Some fit tighter than others, and many pop out over time, especially as continued use of the tree makes the screws loosen and push them out. This isn't really too bad as the screws aren't too noticeable and don't look bad, so we just leave them exposed and the tree is still beautiful. Also you'll need to tighten the screws from time to time so having them open is convenient for that too. We've never regretted what we spent on this, and we got a free-standing scratching post from this company as well. It's also nice looking (so that visitors usually think it's some kind of decorative wicker vase), and of very good quality. We have one cat that used to claw our furniture, now exclusively claws the post, and has yet to put much wear & tear on it.
