Makes 5cm ice cubes which chill my G & T without melting too quickly. The silicone is very pliable, making the cubes easy to eject. The lid is good for stopping stray crumbs getting in while in the freezer, but I wait until the cubes are frozen before fitting it.

The container provides very large ice cubes which is the main consideration. There have been references in some reviews to a slight smell but I didn't detect any. Although the container is flexible silicone it is robust enough to hold up whilst full of water. I chose this product because it had a lid to try and avoid spillage. Fitting the lid was a bit fiddly but not a problem. The container was stood onto other frozen food so the surface was slightly uneven. After freezing it was evident that a little water had seeped out but it was a tiny amount and the water was frozen right up to the lid so it was effective in containing more possible overflow. The ice cube detaches readily from the lid and container. Only time will tell whether the lid might become less of a good fit with use but at this early stage I'm happy with the product.

When I first got these I wasn't sure if they were a bit too 'floppy' for transferring from the tap to the freezer but have found them to be ideal - no floppy problems here!Then I was worried I would tear them when I was trying to get the cubes out - no fear, I've pulled these apart from every angle and there's no way they are tearing.They are really well thought out - only negative being that the 'lids' ARE a bit floppy and trying to put them on is a waste of time really - I just use them as loose covers.Massive cubes that don't melt, easy to get out as long as you are willing to wrangle a bit and I'll be amazed if they don't last me the rest of my life. Two trays would do two people a full night of absolute drinking mayhem - or a week of responsible drinking :)

Great value. I use to make large ice cubes. Lid can be a little tricky at first but I’ve used most days. Easy to get the ice cubes out.
