Best pliers I've ever used. Holds up well and I use them everyday

I would like to start off mentioning that I have plumbed for over 14 years and am still in skilled trades. The Cobra pliers are the first product I have purchased from Knipex (which was recent) and unless Knipex makes bad business decisions in the future, I will never go back to the competition. Their adjustable pliers open wider than the same size of my past go-to adjustable pliers and the jaws on the Knipex are also narrower allowing to get into tighter spots. You will read negative comments about the quickness of adjustability of the Knipex but I have found that I can quickly eyeball where I need to be majority of the time. I do occasionally have to fine tune the setting but haven't felt that it is a problem. I would argue that it is more annoying when the competitions pliers slip out of the setting that is desired. Despite others claims, you can adjust the Cobras one handed but it does take some practice. I do not have a long duration of use out of them but my opinion that the steel will allow a long service life without the teeth wearing down and slipping on the item being torqued. If I can find a fault with my purchase, it is that they are prone to rust and can be seen it one of the photos I have provided. Looking back now, I would have purchased the chromed version but with a small amount of care I will avoid corrosion. I'm definitely a fan of all Knipex and have invested in an array of their hand tools and would have been helpful if I discovered Knipex sooner. Do NOT hesitate to also buy their Plier Wrench, it is an AMAZING tool! The torque you can apply and jaw opening adjustability has led me to sideline my other branded adjustable wrenches.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Love these! I borrowed an air from a co-worker and after just a few minutes I had to get my own set. They grab nice, they don’t slip, and I use them for everything Quality: Awesome quality, better the Milwaukee or any other brand

I have returned this set of pliers due to only really needing the 250mm (10") version and the 180mm and 300mm were not different enough for me to need them in my DIY toolbox. However, from first looks the tool is of very high quality. Fit and finish was immaculate. The handle grips weren't too thick, and had little raised ends to prevent your hand slipping up too close to the teeth or adjuster button. The push button adjuster worked fairly easily (probably just needs to be worked in). Once locked in the mechanism feels very sturdy. The teeth are extremely sharp and will absolutely grip your material. Lastly, the pliers when fully closed will not crush your material when at proper size, neat! I will be buying the standalone 10" and a larger 16" for my tool box.

I first bought a aingle Knipex 12" plier. Once I got a feel of it in my hand I realized it's value. I returned it to buy the whole set of 3. These are inarguably the best set of tools that I own. They are well designed and a lot of thoughtful engineering has been put into them. They are ergonomic, lightweight, strong and durable. In the short time I'll have had these, they have already proved to be invaluable for a lot of projects. They are expensive but well worth every penny. I own water pump pliers from other brands - but these stand out - and you must really use them to believe it. It's unlikely that I will go back to using another plier again. Unless Knipex decides to cheap out on their tools or switch to an inferior design, I will happily continue to buy their tools. The only complaint that I have is that they should have given a small bag or tool roll for storage, given the high price of this product. I went to Walmart and bought the Hypertough tool roll bag (TT50217D) for around $12 which can comfortably store this set and has space for some more.
