Smile LED Lantern: Portable Night Light Camping Lantern For Kids (Dandelion)

This little lantern is great and has so many uses. I have several for my Kiddos for when the power goes out. They can turn them on and use the handle to carry them around by themselves. It’s lightweight. The top can detach and attach to the bottom to aim the light more outward which could be perfect for hanging up in a tent/for camping. They’re pretty sturdy. I would say I wouldn’t leave small kiddos unattended as the bottom unscrews where the batteries are held. A great little sized led lantern that lasts a while with battery life if you don’t leave it on for an extended period of time.

I gave one of these to each of my three grandkids as a present from my parents who are in their mid 80’s. When I ordered this, the order included rechargeable “AA” batteries and a charger (4 batteries for each lantern). These lights are perfect for the kids (ages 3.5 to 4.5 years) and will likely be used by them for years to come. The kids are able to play with them in pillow forts, as extra night lights, or any addition to whatever their imagination chooses to create. These are not excessively bright that I worry about it hurting the kids eyes if they get it close to their face, like lights with focused beams. For a connection to their great grandkids, I purchased one of these lights for my parents. With respect to people as they get older (I’m in my 60’s), their are benefits to objects built with the safety of children in mind and the practical use for older people. This is one of those products. Older adults are not likely to take offense at a practical, safe emergency light if it is attached to their great grandkids coming to visit on occasion.

We purchased four of these for our extended family mountain cabin. What a hit!!! The kids love them; they are the first and that last thing they touch. We love the colors, and the cute smile face, and the perfect brightness of the light (kid friendly). They are a feature in “pretend play” and a staple as they go to sleep with “my lantern” happily. One challenge we have had is the “belly band” comes off and then I can’t find it. It is well fitted, but apparently some curious toddlers just need to take it off, and then they can’t understand why it is harder to push the one button without it. Ah, kids!! I wish I could order just a few belly bands to replace the three lost ones. These are tough little lanterns. We now have six of them. They were all well used last weekend, and now are lined up in the bunk room to greet other cousins that are coming next weekend :)

This lantern is so cute! It's nice and bright with it's smiley face. My 2 yr old grandson is able to push the button to turn it off and on; he figured that out right away. It has a hook on the top so we were able to hang it in his play tent. We all love it!

Our 3 year old has been having fun camping. But a couple of things were quickly put at ease. First, she wanted to be like daddy; having her own lamp. This lamp she loves, the happy face and the easy button. Since it uses an LED for the light source it does not eat up batteries quickly. Second thing was that it puts out a good amount of light. Going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, she loved going to the bathrooms at the camp sight because she can see in the night. Plus daddy was with her. Remember that this is all plastic so if left in the sun it will become brittle and maybe the color will fad. Not sure how long it will take, but it will since it is plastic. Great toy/camping gear for little ones. It does what it says and not many things to knock this down. Get one, have fun with your little one.

This thing is adorable! We used it for camping but also for reading at night. It is not too bright that it hurts your eyes. Seems very durable. Has been dropped a few times onto hardwood floors and still works. My little one loves it.

Super cute and kid safe item. Works perfectly inside my kids indoor play tent and easy for his little hands to turn on and off. Very bright for a little guy so he can read in there even at night. This is not to be used as a dim night light but rather a lantern in place of a light. We call him Petey and both my sons love him.

This was a perfect light for camping.
