Trayvax Contour Minimalist

Fantastic EDC wallet, solid construction with good quality leather. Fits 5 cards and some notes (£20, £10, & £5) with room for more straight out of the box. Can be altered through moving the latch or loosening the frame and adjusting the leather to fit a lot more. If you're UK based though don't buy it through these sellers, the price is extortionate. Buy directly, I got the wallet plus two replacement leather straps (just in case) for £140 + £40 duty. Still expensive for a wallet but this thing looks and feels like it's built to meet its 65 year warranty. Edit Over a year on and still going strong. No sign of wear and tear at all, all the screws are still firmly in place. I still use it everyday in place of my normal wallet.

One of my favorite purchases in over a year. I've begun to appreciate having things that are built to last, which is increasingly rare in these modern times. Like an automatic watch, a well-made knife, or a favorite pair of shoes, a wallet is something you use every day. When you have a quality item, it brings joy every time you use it. The Trayvax Contour is one such item. Each time I've pulled it out of my pocket, I'm reminded of the good choice I made. I agonized over this purchase, debating over just getting a $15 front-pocket wallet to replace the one that I'd been using for the past year or so which had started to fall apart. It's not easy for me to justify spending 10x. The deciding factor was that I knew that it being an EDC item, it was better to pick something that I would truly enjoy using, and could last a lifetime. Pros: Made in the USA (mine was made by Alex - nice job!) High-quality hand-stitched leather Finely machined, smooth edges "Earn your story" embossing Snap mechanism rocks Aesthetically cool. Looks unlike anything else. Enough room for everything you'd normally put in a front-pocket wallet Highly adjustable More compact than expected Integrated bottle opener Cons: On the expensive side. You get what you pay for. This is a small nit, but it would be nice if the Torx wrench could somehow clip to inside of metal frame, and perhaps have the extra screws integrate somehow. Then I wouldn't need to keep the box or remember where the spare parts are.

I have gone through a lot of wallets (unfortunately lost a few lately) - For slim wallets, I have tried Ridge and Dango, which I like both very much (and actually just bought another Dango in case I didn't like this one), but the Trayvax is my favorite. And I was skeptical at first, but I love it - perfect size, awesome quality, and superb practicality.
