Used with Pactware and with DeviceCare SF100, works great, provided 24.4V to the device, as long as you have the DTMs it works great! Tested a few different ways, as a primary master and by itself no issues, as a secondary master connected with a PLC as the primary had a few drops while polling, which is no different from any other hart communicator out there that costs much much more!!! And I love being able to se the TX and RX blinks!

I used the included modem driver and used Devcom2000 with no issues. Makes it quite a bit easier when setting these up on the bench. It has an option to power the transmitters and has the 250resistor built in. Software that comes with it is harder to use but since it works with devcom2000 still giving 5 stars. Definitely worth the money.

The modem works. I used it with Pactware. Make sure you install the driver included. Need to set up Pactware for 3rd party communicator. Need to use correct com port, mine showed Yokogawa modem. Now the software that's included , I did not like it and could not get to work for what I needed. I'm sure it works ok for basic HART functions , but not detailed setup. That's why I gave it 4 vs 5 starts.

This thing is almost as good a a Fluke process meter. The best part is that it is smaller and lighter, consider I fly all over the Gulf.

There are a lot of reviews for this device or ones that look awfully similar and I couldn’t get a clear answer as to whether this works or not. I was able to get it to work and have created an Instrucatable documenting the process. Search for “ SM100-C(III) HART Modem Configuration for Industrial Instrument Communication” and you’ll find it.

Doesn’t work, not worth the case it was shipped in!
