Great quality. Nice and robust. The number dials work well and the tether is nice for keeping on your car. The foam is thick so it will keep fire arms secure in a vehicle.

I was very impressed with the sturdiness and weight of this box for the money, extreme value. By gettign the largest size I easily fit my pistol with red dot and light plus extra magazine with room to spare. The one downside is I though from the comments it was TSAable with a TSA lock, so I bought two - but there is no place for a TSDA lock - someone in the comments had just jury rigged it. If this just had separate latch for a tsa lock it would be perfect.

It’s the perfect size for keeping all those important documents (passport, extra cash, birth certificate, Social Security card) safe and in one spot. I was shocked how good this box is. Stiff, heavy steel, good hinge, hefty latch, nothing too cheap. The only drawback is the three-rotor lock which can be picked by feel fairly easily. However, how many amateur parking lot theives are going to stand around fiddling with a locked box when the next car over doesn't have one? Whoever laid this box out obviously had a 1911 with iron sights, because it's a perfect glove fit. All of my compacts fit in it as well, even the double stack M&P 2.0 in .45 ACP. Even a Beretta 92 or 96 FS full frame and two spares will fit in this thing if you arrange 'em right. Eventually I'll get the XXL for my pistols with red dots. For the iron sight units this safe is perfect.

Heavy gauge steel; surprisingly good fit and finish. Cable is thick; no play in the hinge. The combo lock looks OK and is easy to set. The foam looks a bit friable; time will tell.

I already had a similar lock box and needed another. This Amazon version was cheaper, so I thought "why not?" All I can say is wow, I did not expect it to be so much nicer than the $35 box I bought from another seller. Three big things: 1 the metal is clearly MUCH heavier that my other one, and it is noticeably stronger. 2, the lock is much higher quality, I mean the combination. On my other, it doesn't turn "up" so easy, so I have to turn the numbers "down" to get to the combo. On this one, the numbers turn very easy both directions. 3, the included cable is literally 2x as thick as the other box I have. on my other box, the part that secures inside the box is just a knot, whereas on this Amazon box, it is a steel "mushroom" that fits in the side of the box and doesn't take up much room. Oh, and the foam padding is much heavier duty. I am very please. Will NOT be returning this one!

This item is a good way to secure a weapon, or other items, in a vehicle or hotel room. I would recommend this over a hotel provided safe for most small valuables. Nothing is 100%. However, it will deter all but the most determined of thieves. Simply wrap and secure the cable according to directions.

These are the perfect sized safes (Large) for the area under the front seats of my Lexus GX550. No electronics or biometrics to fail and the construction seems relatively robust. I liked it so much I bought an XXL and a second L for my home. The finish on these is quite poor. All of my safes arrived with small scratches and dents from the factory, and some of the scratches were touched up with permanent marker. Nothing a good sticker from Ruger or Springfield wont fix. Just don't put a Sig Sauer sticker on it because the safe will no longer be drop-proof if you do =P Also, the XL size is pointless as its only a few millimeters bigger than the L in every dimension.

Brought the XXL version. The case is of a good sturdy metal quality construction. The combination lock works well and precise instructions are contained instructing how to change the combination to your own personal choice. This is an excellent portable case that I will use to secure valuable items in my car and at hotels that do not have room safes. I would recommend this product.
