Mike Balter Mallets, inch (23R)

I’ve been using Balter mallets for years and just got these ones, and within a month of light use, one of the heads pop off. I use these for jazz and I like to think I’m experienced with good technique… so I’m disappointed that it fell apart so fast. The others are solid and they’re otherwise great mallets.

My daughter is part of the front ensemble of a competitive drum line at a large LAUSD Middle School. Our music teacher has a huge program at the school with over 300 hundred students enrolled in orchestra, band, and drum line classes. These are the mallets he uses in his class. My daughter insisted on owning her own set. She loves them. The quality is wonderful. The string is neat and tight and makes for a great and precise mallet. They are made to last with quality being held to a high standard. She loves hers already and is extremely pleased with the way they feel in her hands and the sound they are able to produce when used on the instruments. I highly recommend these mallets. Enjoy!
