TRIXIE Silicone Protective Sock, X-Large, 12cm/45cm, Grey

Our long-legged Labrador has had on and off problems with his back paw for a while, a few months ago he had surgery and we struggled to keep the bandage dry all the time having tried multiple things such as plastic bags (he enjoyed ripping them off), booties etc. Knowing another surgery was coming up I ordered this with limited expectations and it has proven to be the best. He has attempted to remove but it doesn't rip despite his best efforts, and it doesn't slip off and he seems completely unphased by it. Much relief during what is already a challenging time for us and him.

Very robust sock. Very good at protecting vet sock/paw. Our dog is large at 50kg but despite measuring, we could have gone one size down.

The product does not stay on the dogs foot and is actually very difficult to get on. The material is very poor and is absolutely not worth the money. It split straight away on my first walk and cannot get a refund. Do not recommend.

Great idea but unfortunately ripped, shame as some injuries need to be kept dry. I wish they would upgrade the material used

I read the reviews and was doubtful, but I needed something to keep our dogs paw dry after an operation when he went outside into the mud bath of a garden after all the rain. I was glad I went a size bigger and I used a poo bag first so the silicone sock slid on and off easily and didn’t pull the bandage. The Velcro straps did the job and it stayed on with no trouble as he hobbled around the garden. We cut it down slightly first. His bandages and paw stayed dry, not sure how long it would last but as long as it’s until the stitches are removed it works for me. Would definitely buy again if need.

This item was not as we expected received did not fit but was u able to return item. The item states silicon but felt like a poor rubber. Unable to return attempt to put on dogs leg. This was not possible and placed the dog in more pain so item discarded. Can not recommend this item to cover injuries on my dogs leg.

My friend's dog (a pointer) had to have a toe removed. We tried several different types of boots to keep it dry and clean at this wet and muddy time of year, both when it was bandaged and afterwards when he just had a cotton sock on it for a while. This was the only one that was long enough and had really good Velcro straps to keep it on. We needed the Extra Large initially to go on over the bandages, and the Large for when the bandages were removed and he just had a cotton sock to cover it. This is an excellent product which allowed him to go out for short toilet walks on smooth surfaces without any worry - I don't know what we would have done without it!

Once I figured out how the velcro straps worked, this has done the job, our dog is able to go outside with her bandaged foot and not get it wet, good value for money, recommend.
