It is written by an experienced DIY guy for DIY guys with some knowledge of gas engines and AC and DC wiring. It is not for those with no experience. Repair of gas engines and the generator is well covered. I am content with my purchase. Publication date of 2014 means its really up to date in November 2013. I feel that there are some down to earth recommendations for my upcoming purchase of a generator. I'm looking forward to finishing the read. Review: Very good book. Excellent content. Not just a "choose a gas generator" book. Lots of info about maintenance and repair. We bought a big, used, CAT, diesel generator and are getting it running and setup with the help of this book.

Very good book. Excellent content. Not just a "choose a gas generator" book. Lots of info about maintenance and repair. We bought a big, used, CAT, diesel generator and are getting it running and setup with the help of this book.

this book is quiet good enough to person who have little knowledge in portable gasoline generator but one thing is not good to this book is about the diesel fuel they didnt show up the actual parts photo only drawing...for me is difficult to imagine what kind of parts is talking about.and also for installation is difficult to follow.
