An excellent gauge and great price
I was beginning to suspect that those pen-shaped pop-up gauges were not reliable because I would get consistent results for a given gauge on a given tire, but very different values for a different gauge on the same tire. In the scientific lingo, this means that a given gauge was precise (repeatable) but not accurate (gives the correct value). So I read the reviews here and bought two of these gauges. Although I actually needed two, having two also allowed me to test their accuracy and precision. Both were spot on, to within my ability to read the gauge. There is a tic mark at each one psi, with major labeled tic marks at 0, 5, 10, 15, 20, etc., up to 60 psi. It is easy to see the difference between 32 and 33 psi, and by visual interpolation one can also easily estimate the pressure to the one-half psi with confidence. Since these spring-based gauges are most accurate the the middle of their range, they are ideal for use with automobile tires, which typically require 32 psi (but check the sticker label on the driver's side door, and don't forget to check your spare tire). The other very nice feature is the bleed valve. I have found that the best way to fill the tires to their rated pressure is to intentionally overfill them, and then use the bleed valve (with your thumb) to slowly approach the desired pressure from above, stopping when you have reached the desired pressure. Don't confuse this with a hold gauge. On this gauge, the pressure reading will only stay on the gauge as long as you keep it held onto the valve stem. When you pull it off, the reading will go back to zero. I prefer to use the gauge with the valve-stem attachment shown in the picture (not the alternate one shipped with the gauge. It seats easily with no leakage on my rims, and it is easy to hold onto the valve stem while you are slowly bleeding out air. Throw away your pencil-style pop-up gauges unless you know that they are calibrated by independent tests that you or your mechanic have performed. Even then, I have no idea how long they stay calibrated.

Great gauges
These are just great quality, accurate, and easy to use gauges that last a long time. I have had several.

The best affordable pressure gauge I've found!
I spent a whole lot of time researching this gauge because I am a stickler for accuracy when it comes to checking the air pressure in my tires. Proper inflation, along with rotating your tires and keeping your vehicles properly aligned are the keys to long tread life. Underinflation is the most common cause of premature wear resulting in the need to replace worn tires much sooner than expected AND you can't tell if your tires are underinflated by merely looking at them! I have found this gauge to be extremely accurate when I compared it to the $400.00 precision gauge used at my local repair shop. This guage is highly rated for good reason. The dial is quite large and the poundage scale is very easy to read. The attached hose is flexible and long enough to allow you to read the pressure without having to get on your knees regardless of where the valve stem is positioned . Another great feature not found on most gauges is the ribbed rubber guard that incases the dial. There's no need to buy a separate protective cover like other high-end gauges reccommend. In my opinion, the lack of a "HOLD" button is a minor issue. The "BLEED" button is all that is necessary to adjust the pressure when you have overinflated your tires. (There are other precision gauges on the market that can hold their reading, but they cost almost twice as much as this one!) The build quality of this gauge is excellent and should provide years of dependable service. Unless you drop it or measure pressures over 60 psi. Therefore. . .If the temporary spare tire in your trunk has more than 60 psi in it, do not use this gauge to check it! The 0 to 60 psi range of this gauge is perfect for most auto and truck tire applications but the gauge will be ruined if it is overpressurized and this will void the warranty. Buy a cheap pencil gauge with a 0 to 100 psi scale for checking your spare tire. If the pressure is off by a few pounds, it's not that critical!

PERFECT! I like the air release valve!
I am amazed that I can no longer walk into a local auto pars store and purchase a quality air gauge. Every thing local is cheep China junk so I decided to turn to Amazon. I searched long and hard to find the best gauge for the money; I purchased this one based on the many positive reviews. I thought I wanted a gauge that would hold the reading when moved away from the tire as I had one years ago that had that feature. I found to get that feature in a quality gauge I would almost double my investment and I was no willing to do that. So,I decided to give this unit a try. After using this gauge I now find I prefer the way this gauge works better than one that holds the reading when released. I find it is so easy fill my tire a few pounds over then tap the air release button to obtain the exact tire pressure needed in seconds and I'm done and off to the next tire. This thing I guess is a true racing gauge as I had no idea how it would speed up the process of inflating my tires to the exact correct pressure. I like the solid look and feel of quality and the glow in the dark face is cool looking. I could not be happier with my purchase and feel the quality is great and the price is right. The pressure relief valve is simply perfect and so easy to get the exact pressure. No more cheep gauges for me! I give the Joes Racing 32307 my highest recommendation! Buy it you'll like it...Your tires deserve this!

Solid gauge, feels like good quality, responds quickly
Overall solid gauge. I did not have a chance to compare it side by side with a calibrated gauge, but based on my running pressures, it appears to be accurate. The gauge is easy to read, and responds quickly. My only issue (and the reason I returned it) is I did not realize it would not hold pressure, so as soon as you remove it from the tire, the needle drops to 0. I'll be switching it out with Joes pro gauge with the hold feature. I have never had a gauge with the pressure release that didn't' hold pressure, hence why it caught me off guard, and it didn't specify this until I opened the package and saw it on the instruction sheet.

Every car should ‘own’ one of these tire pressure gauges! Correct tire pressures mean longer lasting tires.

There are times when you realize that you've taken a product for granted. And for me, this is one of those moments. Typically, you think a rotary dial and bleed valve are very rudimentary and archaic, but in this instance, they are exactly what is necessary. I'm never going back to a cheap digital pressure gauge ever again. While on a digital gauge the numbers are spelt for you, the dials is somehow clearer and, to me, less easier to screw up the readings. The bleed valve is also a godsend. It makes it much easier to release air. No need to detach the gauge from the tire to remove pressure. Now with the click of a button, you can release pressure with the gauge still attached so you can bleed the exact amount needed. Just top up, and bleed until you get to your desired pressure. Saves a lot of time. Seriously, if you have a garage or like working on cars, you owe it to yourself to have this tool.

Liked its sturdiness, the clear and visible readings, the accurate measurement, its appropriate for car tyre pressure (0 - 60 Psi) and the air pressure release button.
