Amazon Basics Portable Driving Practice Golf Net, Black, 7' x 7'

Catches all kinds of golf balls (indoor, practice, and regular). Good value for the money. It's bigger than the dimensions say. It's a bit bulky. Afford another foot of height & width AND depth. Overall easy to put together. I have this sitting in an area of my apartment and it works great. It's bigger than you think. Forewarned!

I set mine up in about 15 minutes. The directions were a bit unclear, but it was simple enough to put it together without them. It doesn't seem to slide around when I hit into it, though the arms do flex a good bit. I bought the 7x7 because I have limited space in my garage but my 50* wedge nearly goes over the top of it. If you plan on using wedges or have a high ball flight, buy a taller size! The net itself is tight but the way it is angled downward forces the ball back down to the ground rather than back at you. If you are hitting on grass or carpet you should be ok, but because golf balls bounce on concrete flooring, I have to chase them before they bang into my garage door behind me. 6 month update: I have yet to have an issue with this net. I hit into it at least an hour or two every week. Definitely recommended.

These nets can get quite pricey, and I really didn't want to invest a lot. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. It seems solid enough, and it works well to catch the foam practice balls I'm using. I have also tried real golf balls with a 7 iron and 4 hybrid, and the net has no problem catching them. Of course I don't get much ball speed because I'm still using the net to learn to make consistent solid contact. If you hit a real golf ball correctly, they even roll back to you sometimes. I debated between the 7x7 and 7x10 size, and the 7x7 I got seems to be fine. I have managed to hit a few shots poorly enough to go around the side, but not many. It does fold up so you can take it down and set it up pretty easily, but the pushbutton joint locks are a little tough on the fingers. It would be nice if it folded down and set up more easily, but for the price I can't see how you could beat it. Give it a shot if you want to try using one of these. You can always graduate to a better one if your skills start to exceed its capabilities. Thank you Amazon Basics for a nice product at a great price.

This product was a great buy for the price. I have just started to get into golf and this net was a great way to practice my swing. I have hit at least 100 balls into this netand moved it around multiple times and there is no sign on of any damage. I highly recommend this product to all golfers because it is a great way to practice.

Net is good, but the spring loaded leg stop keeps coming off.

does everything I want to do, and net is still holding strong even after a summer outside in the Arizona heat. Just wish I knew where to get a replacement net if/when the current one fails or is beyond repair. It's definitely paid for its self, make it so much easier to practice after work without having to leave the house.

Please view the provided pictures. Net defects are after 2 weeks of use. FYI, after each use, I would disassemble the net and take inside to prevent any weather damage. You can see from the pictures the net frays are located outside of the hitting zone, mainly at the top of the net. There is no question the net is inferior for the purpose. Too bad as it was easy to disassemble after each use.

I've owned the Rukket net and thought this would be a good alternative. Sadly it was not. While the hardware structure seems to be fine and will do the job, the fatal flaw is the netting supplied. As other have mentioned, balls will shoot back at you after hitting the net. This is because the net is too taught and doesn't have enough slack material to absorb the shot...unlike the Rukket. The Rukket has a lot more excess netting that hangs towards the bottom to slow the ball down and entrap it. The flaw of this Amazon design also contributes to it's fatal flaw. Since the netting rebounds the shot it doesn't dissipate the shot force and adds stress to the netting. Within 15 hits with my 8-iron I had a ball rip through the netting. I was fortunate to have set this up outside and was relieved to see the ball fly into a vacant lot rather than through a wall or window. This product would be fine to practice hitting lightweight practice balls, but don't fool yourself and risk damage and injury using this with real golf balls.

Purchased for $124.00 (cdn) including shipping for the 8x8 size. Arrived within 5 days via Canada Post. Well packed for shipping purposes. Clear enough instructions and the various pole packages are labeled to help with building the frame. The net has loops to join to the top of the frame and sturdy velcro to join the net to the middle of the frame. It was not that clear how to fix the net along the bottom rail of the frame and took a while to get that sorted out. The overall quality of the materials used is good with aluminum poles and joiners and the net is made of heavy-duty materials. This practice net is located in my garage on a concrete floor and is not fixed to the floor as I need to move the net out of the way to park the car. The net is light and easy to move. I have used the net with real golf balls and it works as it should....whack the ball into the net and the ball gently drops to the floor. I will need to get some cheap rubber-backed carpet to stop balls bouncing all over the garage floor. I would recommend this item as good value for money.

This net is excellent for anyone that wants to practice their driving/chipping. Its paid for itself with the money I would have paid to go to a range. You can easily see where you've hit the ball as well which helps with practice. I like how easy it is to set up and to transport. You dont need 2 people to put it together. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the product is way over priced for the quality of materials used.

This net is perfect for what I wanted, which was to hit golf balls into it. I'm not a big hitter so I can't see me damaging the net with golf balls like some have. I hit foam golf balls which I use when I have it set up in my garage for the coming winter. Only down side was a locking pin was missing so I had to use a small bolt in it's place making assembly/disassembly a bit of a pain. The packaging looked like it had been opened then re-sealed which was a dead give away.

The only problem I have is tees flying through the net. Ordered some tees on amazon to fix the problem , won’t fit through netting
